Tough product
The boots were a gift to my grandson as he works in the concrete profession. He likes them.

Excellent Overshoe
These slip over your shoes. My pair fit perfectly over size 12 wide feet. I had to weedwhack phragmite weeds in 6-8 inches of muddy water. My feet stayed dry and comfortable.

Treds for concrete work
These boots were pretty good. I used them just about daily for a couple months doing concrete work. I did tear a couple holes in them from snagging on some sharp rod chair a couple times. But as the boots advertised, "tears won't run". And they didn't. Probably had three small holes, all from that darn rod chair. It was never a problem. Might have had a couple spots on my work boots from a very small amount of mud seeping in through the holes. But nothing serious. At first it's a little tricky getting the boots on and off over your work boots. They do come with plastic bags, which can easily be replaced with your left over grocery bags when those wear out if you like that method. They tell you to put the bags on over your boots first, and then slip the Treds over after. They slip on like butter when you use the bags, no doubt. But I found it a little annoying using those all the time. So I gave up on that technique. But once you get the on/off technique down, honestly the boots go on and off pretty easily because they are very strechy. Much more so than the boots with the lining inside. Plus no lining inside Treds means no nasty mildew inside. I mainly have done concrete in the summers. But if I ever do concrete work again I'll most likely buy Treds again. There are nicer mud boots out there. But for the price of these, they work great.

Can't recommend and can't return.
Ordered XXL for size 16 boots following sizing recommendations and reviews. 2 steps into a 13 yrd pour and off they came. Ended up pouring the rest without them and destroying my work boots. Outside of return window so sol. More expensive isn't always better save your money and buy a cheap pair of rain boots locally if you can.

What is that smell?
Not sure how well they work - I assume extremely well - I own two pair but haven't worn them. Likely, by my own hand, they are less than original condition and one has a hole in it already. Again - I blame myself for the methods used to remove what can only be described as a smell of rotting fish and decay. Whatever benefit they may provide others, trying them on and wearing around the house seemed fine and as expected. Shortly after, I noticed the smell -- and that the smell transferred to everything they touched.I guess they could have been worn as they were when they arrived, I could use them, and I suspect they would work as designed. But: I carried one pair in a small backpack the night they were received, as a torrential downpour was in the forecast. Even sealed inside the bag, many people around me commented about the smell, and I eventually took the bag (which later has to be washed) and stuck it outside.I tried to wash off the smell. I used gentle soap, and soaked them in the bathtub multiple times. I started using stronger soap. I eventually went all -in with a bathroom cleaner that contained some bleach. It did knock the smell down a bit, but it was still strong and present days later. My attempt at cleaning seems to have affected them a little, and in some sections it appears the bleach may have prematurely deteriorated the rubber. A small hole has appeared.I haven't thrown them out yet, since it was about $80+ for both pairs... and I'm a little embarrassed. The description should list the strong smell in a disclaimer. Maybe some people don't care and are alone when wearing them.I could have just returned them originally - but I wrongly assumed the smell could be removed. After cleaning affected them, it seems like a no-go on that front. To sum it up - they are probably great, but smell like death soaked in rotting sardines. I polled 5+ people who noticed the smell. They were in agreement.Don't even ask about my leaving them in the backpack in the car overnight. Took a full can of ozone deodorizing spray to knock the smell out. If you love tough overshoes, these might be great. If you have a nose, maybe less so.
