Q: Does the screw head rest on the flat side or the indented side of the pole?

I assembled mine w/screwhead against the indented side. seems to be sturdy enough.

Q: how much space(height) on each shelf?

I returned the unit, missing four screws and I wanted a thicker gauge, something more sturdy. I am sure the height is included in the description.

Q: Can this support aquariums?

I would not try to put an aquarium on this bakers rack. It's sturdy enough for light weight things,but I would be afraid to put anything heavy on it.

Two big shelves on the bottom.,then the 1 middle one and work your way up using the 2 smaller ones. I don't like it. Too small and aver bolts on a black shelving.
