Snap Ball Tea Strainer, Exptolii 3 Pack Stainless Steel Tea Infuser Filter with Handle for Loose Leaf Tea, Spices, Seasonings

With all of the press recently regarding micro plastics and teabags, I decided to buy some quality loose teas. Although I did see some fillable teabags made of paper. I didn’t want to create more trash..I was a bit worried if the mesh would be fine enough on this metal tea strainer.But it’s easy to squeeze the handle and open the strainer ball, easy to keep the strainer ball open while I fill it with the loose tea and then the design closes the 2 halves tightly.The ball is large enough to where I can put either one or 2 tablespoons of looseleaf in the strainer.When I pour the hot water over the strainer, the tea leaves do not come out of the metal strainer nor where the 2 halves connect.If I choose, I can switch the strainer around inside the teacup, and once the tea leaves have steep long enough it’s easy to take out the strainer and throw away the used tea leaves.To clean the strainer it’s easy to keep the 2 halves open and under a stream of water to rinse out any leftover loose tea.So far, I see absolutely no rusting within the strainer or the hinges.There is a little bit of staining on the metal, but using a brush quickly took the stain off the metal.

I bought these for my high-caf tea after reading that the teabags are great at feeding you plastic. These work pretty well. They are a bit tough to close b/c the tea gets in the seam but you learn how to make it work. We'll see how they hold up, but you get three so the set should last awhile. They seem well made.

I purchased this item due to its claims about size and tight closure, and the handle design. My purpose was to use it to add and stir Balance Grow honey, citron & ginger tea to hot water. This tea is a gel and pulp (incredibly delicious). I thought this item would help strain the pulp (which is edible, but I don't always want to do so). Because you can only fill half of the strainer (it opens vertically), it's a little difficult to get the full amount I want into it. I had to use it 2-3 times to get the strength I want, but it did stir and the tea dissolved leaving the pulp behind. Hence only 4 stars total and for ease of use. Otherwise, I think for teas other than the gel type, it is easy to use.PROS: closes tightly, easy to open and close due to the uniquely shaped handle. Probably great for loose-leaf tea and instant coffee. The dimensions are listed; however, the photos are misleading as to the size relative to the hand holding the item - it looks larger than the dimensions stated.I was able to rinse this out and/or put in my dishwasher and it was fully cleaned. I can't rate this on sturdiness, since I've only just received it and used it once.

Love these little things. I use these as flour dusters for making bread & dusting my bannonton baskets. Surprisingly enough they're cheaper getting 3 of these vs 1 of the supposed designated flour dusters. I also use these for powerdered sugar on french toast, mage with homemade bread of course & loose leaf tea. Definitely good quality & great pack of 3.

im a tea person and i loved using these instead of microplastic containing tea bags i think. Easy to use, easy to fill, easy to clean. Great price

Works ok, however it only holds the larger leaves from the start and after a few uses one of them no longer closes all the way and tea leaves just float out.

I Really like this product, it’s sturdy and i use the strainer to scoop the loose tea. It infuses well , keeps the tea leaves contained and cleans up easily.
