Bought this in 2023, and it’s still working great. The picture is clear, and the camera performs well in various weather conditions, even in the cold winter months. I haven't had any issues with freezing or quality loss in low temperatures. Installation was simple, and it looks OEM from the inside of the car. The camera provides a clear view of the bumper, making parking and reversing much easier.

Saludos!!!

First, let's get this out of the way: This is not a beginner project. You will need, at a minimum, to know (a) how to tap power from your car's electrical system, (b) how to disassemble parts of the interior and trunk to run the video cable, and (c) how to remove and install the rear view mirror. With that out of the way: I installed this on a 2011 Chevrolet Volt. The mounting hardware for the mirror is of high quality, equal to the OEM mirror on this car. The metal mounting arm is, in fact, the heaviest thing in the whole package. It fit perfectly onto the existing windshield mount and, unlike the OEM mount, does not vibrate out of position over time. The mirror itself presents a clear image, but one that's somewhat darker than the OEM mirror. There is no day/night toggle. The manual implies that there's an auto-dim feature, but I saw no evidence of this. I found it an acceptable compromise, providing a clear image during the day without reflecting excessive glare at night. The mirror surface is plastic, which may require some care in cleaning it in the future. It's a "stealth" installation in that you have to look very closely at the mirror to see the outlines of the monitor screen when there's no video signal. I used switched accessory power for the monitor. The camera is of reasonable quality and provides acceptable images day and night. Note that the guide lines cannot be turned off, so if you don't want them you'll need a different camera. It's a standard NTSC composite video signal so there are many cameras that will work. I powered the camera off the reverse light circuit in my car, and the startup time when shifting into reverse is acceptable, maybe two or three seconds. (Based on my testing before installation, I think most of this delay is actually being caused by my car not turning on the reverse light immediately.) The biggest issue I have is the shiny mirror surface still reflects a lot of glare while the monitor is on; in the daytime this sometimes washes out the picture from the backup camera. The monitor is bright and clear, just not always as bright as sunlight. Other minor gripes: There's a button on the mirror/monitor not explained in the manual. It doesn't seem to do anything. I don't have a second video source connected so it may be a source switch or something. The mirror/monitor has a bright green LED that's lit whenever it has power, not just while in reverse. It's brighter than I prefer for something that's close to my eye line at night. I solved this by coloring over the lens of it with a black Sharpie to attenuate the light a bit.

Tuve que poner un relevador por que mostraba la imagen con ruido. Al fin funcionó bien. Mi auto es un VW
