The American Revolution for Kids: A History with 21 Activities (11) (For Kids series)

I have really enjoyed reading this with my child. We use it as his history lesson. He loves it too and it leaves a lot of room for discussion. It has cute projects. I personally hate doing projects but the kiddos love it. I might of chosen a different book if I had known how many projects there where .

I purchased this book for my daughter as a birthday gift, and to help her burgeoning interest in American History. I read the book along with her, and found myself becoming more and more interested. I found that the book is a great overview of the Revolutionary War, containing enough information to get a real grasp of not only the battles, but the politics and day to day life of an American patriot.The book is clearly written, and easy enough for a child 6+ to understand, yet engaging enough for an adult to read. We haven't as of yet tried any of the projects, but the book itself is a fantastic introduction to an important and frankly overlooked (in the educational sense) time of American History. I could not recommend this book more.

This book has given my grandchildren and myself hours of fun and educational entertainment!! It helps young readers by getting them interested in history and letting them get a first hand look at some of the things from history from its many activities. If you don't mind a little work to help educate and entertain your children or grandchildren then this is the book for you. It would really be an asset to any classroom, even high school. We have really enjoyed it and I can highly recommend it. It can packaged very well and right on time. Highly recommend the book and the vendor. Very pleased with both!!

Absolutely fantastic book for middle school kids. The experiments are fun and educational. The text is very informative and isn't boring or dull. I'm really glad we read this one before the book on Einstein which... was not fun at all. I highly recommend this book if you're homeschooling or just want to do a unit study on the American Revolution.

Book for my grandson who will be learning about colonial times soon.

the only shortcoming I would say is little material post Revolutionary War--- the Revolution was not complete until a constitution was ratified... some might also argue that it was not perfected till the voting rights act of the 1960's- but that's another matter separate from the American Revolution period per se...

This book was bought for my niece and nephew who are 7 and 6 but it is for older children...I find it interests me and I will read it myself and hold onto it until they are older....It is very well written and I am enjoying it !!

perfect for teaching American History, as well as what life was like in 18th century Colonial America. Highly recommend.
