What drew me to this book was its deep exploration of the psychic nature of humanity - a concept closely intertwined with my philosophy of thoughts and imagination being the architects of our reality.Author's Approach and StyleJane Roberts' writing is rich, enlightening, and deeply evocative. Her talent for dissecting profound ideas in an accessible way is evident throughout the book. Roberts skilfully blends spiritual and psychological concepts, using clear, concise language to engage the reader in a complex yet relatable narrative.Narrative Perspective and StructureRoberts uses a mixture of narrative perspectives in this book, offering both third-person explanations and first-person accounts, enhancing the reader's engagement and comprehension. An superb exporation of Human Sexuality and beyond
To an extent I agreed with the previous reviewer that this book might leave you scratching your head a bit especially if this is your first Jane Robert's Seth book. However, for those of you who've already taken the plunge with some of the other Seth books I'd say the "Nature of the Psyche" will hit the spot just right. It addresses Human Sexuality and the contours of the Psyche with clarity and poetic intensity. You can't be in a hurry. This is not a sixty second solution book. You have to be awake, have the TV turned off and be actively engaged to get the gist of what this book has to deliver. (Maybe a glass of wine will help)The concepts presented can leave a person a bit out of their comfort zone.Like me you might want to come back and reread a chapter or two before it really sinks in.And ... what can happen when it does sink in?To me, the sense of life, magic and wonder in the world is restored. This book is a sonnet of peace and hope.

one of seth's best and part of a wonderful collection of invaluable information ...
one of seth's best and part of a wonderful collection of invaluable information that should be read by all! if you are seeking a true understanding of how we orient ourselves in today's' world on this planet, this is an amazing book.. he touches on subject matter that is not included in other books and continues to provide intelligent teachings. unlike most "new age" reading that only regurgitates what has been written since man first became "conscious", seth's sessions stimulate the mind to explore its origins and perceptions. i highly recommend the seth material to anyone who yearns to know what makes us tick!

If you truly seek the eternal?
Most sophisticated discourse! It challenges our understanding of cognition and especially language with its origin (a highly controversial academic topic), while at the same time supports Chomsky's intuition of innate language acquisition. To retain Seth's concepts by simply reading, does not seem possible. In generating meaning, Seth's use of verbs is extraordinary! It is possible that Seth generates 'meaning' intentionally as perceptually-relativistic matter rather then finite or absolute one. Reading this Seth''s material, one would suspect a key Seth's intent - i.e. demonstrating a truly free-of-time, historically-unbound discourse, that would be impossible to be distorted by a religious/scientific scholarship, as been witnessed in Buddhism or contemporary linguistics.

love all the seth books
I love all the seth books and last winter I got copies of the whole set to have and keep with me from now on as i truly enjoy them on a continuing basis in my life. I read them all in order through the winter and felt like I had returned to an old friend after a while it became no big deal at to which book I was even reading anymore though I did appreciate going thru them in order that first time as it gave me a much bigger picture of what jane and rob were actually dealing with and how that whole thing went down for them.

Great book, less than great Condition.
Another great book in the Seth collection. Arrived with some shipping damage. Come on, Amazon, this is not helping your case. But the book is one I recommend if you like the Seth books already or if you want a great alternative view of the nature of human psychology.

Great Seth Book
this title is one that streches out from the original and other earlier works, and is equivalent in importance. to comprehend, i read all the seth books at least twice- (except two of them i felt were marred to some degree or more, by the medium, transcriber and editors). but here, the further depths and changes, startling and unique, make it as part of the whole, my only "applicable philosphy" or "history" worth the effort to grasp as most necessary to goal. yea, Seth and Nabokov! by the way, omiting each and every one of Robert Butts' assessments and commentary will leave what is offered much clearer and effective.

There's a little too much politics for my tastes
There are definitely some interesting things in Seth's writings I don't doubt that. However there is something that really leaves me perplexed.... when I came across the chapters regarding sexuality I started to ask myself some questions.Reading these parts of the book is like reading the "manifesto of intent" of the first feminist groups of the 60s and 70s who proclaimed "sexual freedom" and took as inspiration the sexual models created by Alfred Kinsey in those years. It is correct to say that in every man there is a feminine part and vice versa in every woman there is a masculine part, but the material presented here by Jane seems to focus a little too much on "equality" of the genders which, be careful, is absolutely not it is wrong to talk about EQUAL RIGHTS between men and women, I for one find it stupid that male and female go to war with each other and I personally stand against any form of discrimination, but to state almost subtly that men and women are biologically equal is a falsehood based on a schizophrenic view of reality. it is undeniable that male and female are not biologically equal, the physical universe exists thanks to physical laws based on the difference in polarity, lightning can only be generated if there is a difference in potential between the electric poles of the sky and the earth. .. and this is PHYSICS.reading Seth's chapters on sexuality is like reading a compendium of all the ideologies of feminism of the early 60s/70s based, I repeat, precisely on the theories of Alfred Kinsey.it is true that every human being has a part of the opposite sex within himself, for example a "man" needs to cultivate his "feminine part" to be complete, it is a truism I don't doubt it, but this is a a completely different matter from stating that EVERYONE is or should be "a certain way". It seems rather strange to me that a discarnate entity professes current ideologies at the time of channeling, that's all.

Understand Yourself
The main reason I skipped ahead and read this book before most of the other Seth books is I really wanted to read what he had to say about human sexuality. This book has REALLY helped me to understand myself better. I used to battle with the idea of liking the same sex but after reading this I ACCEPT THAT I LIKE BOTH SEXES!!! The information in this book is so much more than just helping you to understand sexuality but that was the part that was the most interesting for me. Overall the whole book is a fantastic read with wonderful exercises for helping to understand your dreams better as well, plus so much more. I understand so many things about language that I never thought I would know.Seth books have been a game changer for me, anyone wondering what life is all about you can find that and so much more in the Seth Books.
