Soared 3D Protection Hip Butt, EVA Butt Pads Protective Padded Shorts Pants

My son told me he wanted to learn to snowboard and I’ve been a skier for 30 years. What’s a dad to do? Gear up and learn with him! We ordered multiple brands of padded shorts to try on at home and plopped down on the stairs to test them. My son and I both found these shorts the most comfortable with great padding. Some other brands had good padding too but these were the only padded shorts that had a Velcro closure, seemed to stay in place best and we didn't really notice them once they were on. Some of the other brands felt like wearing a diaper... We’ve been snowboarding several times now and we’re both very happy with these shorts. They do not ride up or move around and I don’t feel the cold when I sit on the snow, the chair lift, a bench, etc. Most important, the padding has definitely helped when I’ve fallen backwards. I’m normally a men’s L (34-36) and the XXL fits well. I wash on delicate and hang dry and all good so far. Along with these padded shorts, we bought knee pads and wrist guards and I strongly recommend all 3 for beginner snowboarders. My son liked Bodyprox knee pads and I bought Demon knee pads. I liked the bodyprox knee pads but was concerned they would slide down without Velcro. For wrist guards, my son preferred them under his gloves and I found the Dakine gloves with built in wrist guards best for me. Gear up and get out there!

I stand by what I wrote when i first got these to be careful about sizing - they run small. But now with time on my hands I wanted to circle back and say if you are a snowboarder you def need to get these. Even if you don't jump or park much (which I don't) , the biggest benefit is the pads are big enough that when you are sitting in the snow waiting for others, resting or whatever, they keep our ass off the snow. No Asscubes! This even helps riding the lfit. That alone is worth the price. And if you catch heel edge every now and then and go down on your butt these are good for that too, but staying warm is the prime benefitl.

At the interest of being pun-y, these things saved my buns (literally) more than once! I have an 8 year old who just started playing hockey. I, myself, am a hockey fanatic and always wished I could have played when I was a kid so, I took his new interest as an opportunity to learn how to skate myself. Needless to say, gravity is not your friend at nearly 6' and 200 lbs. In fact, based on the bruise my backside suffered during our first roller hockey adventure, I'd say it downright hates me. So I purchased these for my learn to skate ice skating class and they were super duper clutch. First, the bad. They run super small so I would advise gettings 1-2 sizes bigger than what you think you need. And the velcro at the waist is pretty uncomfortable. Other than that, these things are terrific. They fit snug, breathe really well, are comfy under pants/shorts (please don't wear them as pants alone, baby. For all of us, please). But most of all, when gravity grabs you and pulls you down, they do exactly what they are designed to do. And I cannot tell you how much more confidence that gives you on the ice and the pavement when you know, if you're going down, you're not going to burst a cheek when you do. I highly recommend these. They would be perfect for literally any sport where you might fall. Happy adventuring everyone!

I recently purchased the Soared 3D Protection Hip Butt EVA Padded Short Pants for my son, who is dedicated to training 5-7 days a week on Copper Mountain this winter. These shorts have proven to be an absolute game-changer, and here's why they're a must-have for any winter athlete: Essential Protection: The level of protection these shorts provide is unmatched. With EVA padding strategically placed on the hips and butt, they have become a crucial shield during falls, especially when navigating rails and jumps. It's like a safety net for my son's lower body. Durability and Impact Resistance: The durability of these shorts is impressive. They've withstood the impact of falls, protecting my son from bruises and potential injuries. The EVA padding effectively absorbs shocks, ensuring he can get up and continue training without significant downtime. Optimal Design for Athletes: The design of these shorts is tailored for athletes. The 3D protection not only covers vulnerable areas but also allows for a full range of movement. They don't hinder performance, providing the flexibility needed for rigorous training sessions. Recovery Accelerator: Without these shorts, recovering from falls would take significantly longer. The impact protection minimizes the severity of injuries, allowing my son to bounce back quickly. It's not just about safety; it's about enabling continuous training without extended breaks. Comfort During Extended Use: The comfort level during extended use is notable. The shorts don't cause discomfort or chafing, even during prolonged training sessions. The breathable fabric adds to the overall wearability, ensuring my son remains focused on his training. Confidence Booster: Wearing these shorts has boosted my son's confidence on the slopes. Knowing that he has reliable protection gives him the freedom to push his limits without the fear of potential injuries. It's a mental reassurance that reflects in his performance. Winter Training Essential: For any winter athlete, especially those training on challenging terrains, these shorts are an absolute essential. They provide the peace of mind needed to tackle advanced maneuvers and progress in skill without compromising safety. In conclusion, the Soared 3D Protection Hip Butt EVA Padded Short Pants have become a winter training essential for my son. The unparalleled protection, durability, and comfort they offer have not only safeguarded him during falls but have also significantly contributed to his ability to recover quickly and continue his training. A must-have investment for any serious winter athlete.

I don’t think it is what I expected there’s no really support you still feel the hit if you fall. I would recommend size up because is too small.

The size, comfort, durability, and material thickness are perfect for any athlete or beginner athlete that doesn’t want to hurt themselves if they fall down. These were worn during ice skating classes and were tested extensively, and they received high reviews. Falling down on hard ice didn’t hurt the wearer. They were easy to take off and on and protected the body on numerous falls. The look of these aren’t too important as they were work underneath sweats, but the wearer of these did say they’re delightful and looked cool and were more comfortable than he originally thought they would.

I know my title says for plus sized people but if you’re not plus sized the padding is A+ either way. The reason I’m shouting out to plus sized people is because I currently have 5 pairs of padded shorts in my living room (the ones you probably just scrolled past or clicked on before this one) and they don’t even come close to fitting me. I couldn’t find a picture or description of anyone close to my size so I just bought all the recommended ones because I luckily have some smaller friends and we’re all learning to skate together. So I can give them the others. I promised myself if any of the shorts fit me I’d take a picture and write a review. I’m 5’9, 325 lbs. I bought a 3xl and I know my measurements go beyond what’s listed for the size but the stretch for these is REAAAL, and great. I’m a newbie roller skater and when I finally hit the floor falling backwards the other day I was so happy I was wearing these. Shout out to the ppl who make these shorts my tail bone thanks you 😂

My elderly mom has multiple sclerosis and osteoporosis and falls a lot. I was so worried with every fall she would break a hip and never walk again. She puts these on every day over her pants and this cushions her when she falls, saving her life. If you have an elderly parent prone to falls, this is a must have !!!! BTW, these run very small. My mom is average weight and the 3X fits perfectly over her pants. It has held up in the wash on delicate cycle, cold water.

it was way too big. I think it is meant to fit over ski pants and I needed it for figure skating
