The Slug: The Disgusting Critters Series

Bought one for my daughter for Christmas and one for my niece. Super fun, cute, and informative.

Wasn’t very good. I wouldn’t buy it again. Also it’s very short, not a chapter book.

My child is obsessed with slugs and finds this book hilarious. I don’t laugh out loud at every picture and caption, but she is rolling on the floor. We live in the PNW and she insists on taking this book with her on walks. We’ve stopped to look at slugs and snails on walks and she always busts out with jokes and knowledge she picked up from The Slug.

Great, funny, educational book. Perfect for inquisitive kids. My 4 - 10 year olds love it and others in the series.

Awesome book for bug lovers. My 4 year old has a hard time with a couple of the words but he reads it cover to cover at least once a week.

My 8 year old son loves, loves, loves these books. The first night we got them I had to read each one twice. They have a great sense of humor, gorgeous but simple illustrations and are informative as well. The perfect trifecta of bookly goodness!

You need this entire series! These are the cutest books we've read in a long time and they're full of fun, gross, educational facts!

I love this little book. I’m getting it for my little granddaughter who loves all kinds of Earth’s wonderful creatures.

A bit short but quite cute and informative. My son is only 3 and has a rather long attention span for his age, so I would say this is appropriate for any child interested in bugs. The older children will get the "jokes " better obviously. It hits on the relevant points of a slug and is a good starting point for young children who want to learn more. Not advanced but not meant to be 😀

My kids LOVE these books. Just the right amount of gross to peak their interest, but full of facts. And they have a good layout to keep kids interested.
