Imperfect: Triple Canopy, Book 3

Luke and Shiloh
This is the first book that has really taken a turn from the original 707 families. Luke is an employee of Triple Canopy and a former member of Carter’s SEAL team, and therefore family, but it felt different.Luke is still recovering from the incident that stole most of his eyesight and ended his Navy career. He’s successfully accepted his role at Triple Canopy and is acclimating to civilian life. When he meets Shiloh, his life changes. She tries to mask her pain but Luke sees right through it and demands entry into her life.Shiloh has spent her life keeping everyone at arms length, afraid to let anyone close because she thinks they’ll leave her. She has her brothers but even they only get parts of her. Luke is the first person to break through her walls. He doesn’t let her cold exterior or harsh words get to him.As Luke fights to gain Shiloh’s trust she faces down her demons and opens herself up to the friends she didn’t realize she had on her SWAT team and the new friends Luke brings to the table. This was another great book from Riley Edwards. It focused a lot more on Shiloh and her SWAT team and family and that’s what made it so different.

Fantastic!
I absolutely love Riley Edwards! Her characters are astounding! They explain perfectly what a man is supposed to be. Good steamy scenes and a good amount of excitement. They only get better!

Intense, suspenseful and steamy
This book has it all and will grab you attention from the get home with how awesome the two main characters, Shiloh/Sunny and Luke, are together. The storyline is fantastic, focusing on Luke slowly making progress with Shiloh despite the icy walls she uses to keep people at a safe emotional distance. Shiloh’s position on the SWAT team brings up some emotionally and intense situations for her to deal with and Luke steps up to offer her emotional support. Can’t wait to read more of this series.

Lots of drama, but it delivers all the feels
Well, I almost stopped reading it. The author took her time developing the female character, almost too deep. Yawn....but action and suspense finally liven things up. Book ended well.

too wordy
I had a hard time with Luke’s story. It was too long and wordy. Too much of explaining to Shiloh what he was going to do to her but drawing it out forever. Shiloh and Luke are a match put together by the Gods. Shiloh and her brothers had a shit life growing up. Luke’s life was not much better. Neither of them believed in true love. Shiloh feels everyone always leaves her. Shiloh is one tough cookie. After almost dying several times and blaming herself for a little girls death in a hostage situation, Luke tries hard to reach deep. They are made for each other.

Luke and Shiloh - two perfectly imperfect people
Imperfect, book 3 in the Triple Canopy series has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, fan your face steam, dangerous heart stopping action, family moments, painful pasts, and even some chuckles. Luke works at Triple Canopy and is a former SEAL sniper who was medically discharged after a bomb exploded during a mission taking his leg and his perfect vision. Shiloh/Sunny is a member of SWAT who is struggling alone with her personal demons and with a recent death that occurred during a hostage situation. They meet when Sunny goes to Triple Canopy to work on her long distance shooting skills. For Luke, at least, it is love at first sight but he has to sneak into Sunny’s heart because she is not interested in a relationship. On their way to their HEA, Luke and Sunny both have to come to terms with the darkness in their pasts in order to embrace a beautiful life together. This was a heart warming story about love, loss, family, and damaged but not broken people. Riley Edwards is a master at balancing a story of romance, danger, and personal growth. And while most of us will never be in the dangerous situations the main characters are a part of, the author nevertheless makes who they are as people so relatable and real that it is easy to fall in love with them. This makes Riley Edwards a one-click author for me. I am excited to hear what happens next for the folks at Triple Canopy.

Shiloh is harder to love
I am really enjoying the Triple Canopy books. The characters, although there are many, are lovable and worthy.I had a hard time liking Shiloh. It wasn’t until the very end that she seemed to redeem herself.

Perfectly imperfect!
Imperfect is author Riley Edwards doing what she does absolutely best - crafting strong, amazing, brilliantly imperfect women who you can do nothing but love! What do I love most about this book - Shiloh and Luke's relationship, their chemistry, their interactions and back and forth, you just soak it up and smile, if ever a couple just work they do! Raised by three over-protective older brothers, working as the only woman in a SWAT team, Shiloh Kent has learnt to hold her own, she's truly badass but she also has demons and she doesn't allow anyone to get too close that is until Luke Marcou decides she isn't chasing him away. It took him a while but Luke has found a new normal and a degree of acceptance that has helped him move on with his life after the devastating injury that ended his Seal career, now his mission is breaking down Shiloh's walls and clearing out every bit of self-doubt she has so she can see herself for the powerful worthy woman she is. Luke is digging in and he's not letting go no matter what she throws at him.I loved the building, sexy heat of Shiloh and Luke's intimacy, there's plenty of action to keep you gripped and of course the wonderful Triple Canopy characters throughout. Just when you think you've found your favourite couple then Ms Edwards blows them out of the water and presents you with brand new candidates to love, perfect is seriously over-rated and I’m definitely crushing on the wonderfully imperfect Shiloh and Luke right now, can't wait for the next instalment!

fab-u-lous
Great story, couldn’t wait to read about the next generation of hot alpha guys falling hard for their women at Triple Canopy and this hit the spot. Luke and Shilohs story was just a romance readers dream, add in some action, suspense, danger and fear, alpha guys protecting and yep -sorry forgot the sizzle factor any of that should hit the spot to curl up in a comfy chair and enjoy a great read

Two imperfect people
Luke holding over some guilt along with Tre, his army buddy and brother, not by blood, this happened whilst rescuing Liberty Walker that they are all dealing with what went wrong. Luke recognizes the same situation in Sunny, who is fun but inside struggling and made it his mission to help her by finding out what is troubling her. Great story

Insightful and HOT
If you like a HOT romance this is the book for you. Riley Edwards understands emotional pain and real behavioural reactions. She takes the reader on the journey of unravelling this alongside hot intimacy and trying to save the girl from the dander. Imperfect made me laugh out loud, think about emotional reactions and fall in love with Lake. Shiloh is no shrinking violet. She is a fun, tough, loyal person who grows with Luke's help and the help of many of the male characters in the story. A well written insightful book, as always can't wait for the next in the series. Thank you Riley.
