Just okay
The Charlie Parker series is much better written, thoughtful, smart and assumes the reader is intelligent. Why isn't this series? The first book introduced the mystical wooden box but instead focuses on a silly relationship with a Harlequin-named husband Beau who says Darlin' every other sentence. The strength of this series is the bakery, the house breaking job and the wooden box. If you're listening, Connie Shelton, please quit turning this into a vapid romantic cop series.

Samantha does it again!
Thanks to Connie Shelton for such a fun mystery. I love Samantha and all of her adventures in cooking and in crime! I wish Connie could write her books as fast as I can read them.

You can feel the edge
You can feel the unrest in the little town of Semramos. We all can relate to the little blip of a town where everyone knows everyone else . Up to the usual intrigue of Connie Shelton's writing.
