This worked perfectly for a storage box at a youth camp. We kept ball point pens and slips of paper inside. The box easily slid open and closed repeatedly and held up well for the week. I was pleasantly surprised with how well this worked for our activity.

These boxes were purchased for making small stage magic illusions. The build quality is very good for the price point. The buyer will not go too far wrong with these given their excellent build quality and price point..

We use this for loosing items! When we put them in the box it’s easy to remember and looks nice sitting on the table.

Nice build and sliding portion works well

Not balsa - probably pine. The corners are dovetailed. The overall product is a great value. I bought these for storing trading cards (2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches) and it is true that you can flat stack two rows end to end (interior 7 1/2 inches). They are not the best choice for storing cards in bags (you can only get one flat stack unless you weave the bag openings for two stacks). Forget toploaders. You can't stand cards on end (vertically) as the sliding lid won't close (3 9/16 inches interior base to groove). You can't fit trading cards horizontally (except on an angle; 3 5/16 wide). The boxes work great with playing cards - stack two decks end to end (four high - in the boxes - with room left over). Also good for poker chips, checkers, etc. A good keepsake box for pins, tie tacks, etc. Store pencils and brushes, etc.
