This is a great cane. The base is not too big and allows me to climb stairs as well as walk on flat ground. I love the fact that you can leave it next to your chair instead of having to pick it up from the floor like my old single-foot cane.

I got the purple I have a bad knee .back..an ankle they all act up a different times sometimes just need a little help I prefer 4 leg cane more stable if if you need help standing or getting up this one works really well ...an stable I keep it bedside mostly because I never know when I may need it...im very happy with it ..pretty color to doesn't hurt lol

I bought this for my 88 year old mother who is finally slowing down. She lives independently, drives, does her own shopping, gardens and is physically active 8-10 hours a day. Her favorite place is her backyard - gravel, soil and grass. She had a fall and decided to use a cane. Another reviewer mentioned that this cane grips well on gravel (I think that's what she said) and it's true. This cane grips well on her outdoor gravel and concrete walks and on dirt. Not well on grass. It grips well on parking lots (unless it's been raining) and on grocery store floors. A neighbor let her borrow their 3 pronged Hurrycane and my mom quickly discovered that this QuadCane is much more stable.

Like the stability with the 4 prong base and color. Only thing I have a slight problem with is the metal clinking noise that occurs. Guessing this happens with most metal canes. I needed a cane to graduate to from my walker after a major back surgery.****UPDATE! After a month of using the cane, today one of the rubber bottoms fell off and is lost. Additionally, a second rubber bottom is almost worn for the metal to poke through. Glad I noticed it as I have wood floors which would have caused great damage to. ***I spoke with Amazon as I thought it wouldn't be an issue to have the company send me some rubber bottoms to the cane, but no it's not possible as the manufacturer is in INDIA and there is no phone number. Amazon offered purchasing some from their site as possibilities. Doesn't look like they will fit. I will try some local medical supply companies first. Just an additional unwanted hassle after having a major back surgery. For this reason I would NOT buy this cane again. Apparently you have to find out who the manufacturer is and if they are in the states before you purchase from Amazon. NOT HAPPY!
