The best trekking shoes that any money can buy
I bought these shoes for my husband. His review is below.:I am an occasional trekker for the last 30 years. In my youth I always wore hunter shoes. When I resumed trekking two years ago it was impossible to find the good old hunter shoes. Last year I finally managed to find stores near Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and in Moore Market (in Chennai) that stocked these trekking shoes. This year I stumbled upon the Unistar Army Times product and decided to buy it. The shoe top has great toe protection. The tongue is nice and wide. It is connected to the shoe all the way up to the ankle. This way no mud or grime can get into the shoe even if walking in ankle deep sand. The eyelets appear strong. The fabric (olive green) is the best for any hunter shoe I have bought ever. It looks classy. The shoe has a fleece like lining on the inside that keeps the feet warm and comfortable. I have not seen a fleece like lining on the inside of a trekking shoe ever. There is cushioning on the inside. The sole looks tough and offers a great grip. The fit is perfect, it protects the ankle. The best part is that it is made in India and it is inexpensive. I feel sorry that such a classy product like this is not popular these days. I have known people who wear trekking shoes that cost 10 times much but do not offer anything more. In fact on all my recent treks I seldom see people wear hunters. The old hunters look tacky but these are classy. I strongly recommend that anyone who has any interest in trekking try these and popularize this made in India product over all the branded imported trekking shoes that flood the Indian market. Thanks Unistar. I would love to buy walking shoes from you too.

They are solid, only if you are not a branded-fan
Every product sold by a good brand isn’t good, and vice-versa. There are chances of loopholes.Similar is the case of non-branded stuffs. However, I was not confident on Uni-Star shoe but when I used, it absolutely changed my mind.I have trekked with it, walked for kms, drove while wearing them and this shoe has never gave me any kind of fatigue. These are comfortable, somehow water resistant, and good for everyday use as well. While it may not be an absolute gem, but it is definitely worth it.Shoe quality is very good and rugged, build to take hits while using them. Yes there are some rough edges, but looking at the cost it comes at + the purpose it is built for, IT IS ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT.For 1600₹, you won’t be able to get something more than this (Until Becca-Buci or other brands decides to launch something on same lines).

Great shoes but mostly reject and damaged
Wumbaya’s stamp of all year reliability and comfort. Musician and traveller ✨ But beware that you might have to replace two or three times before you get lucky. Each time I order on Amazon either one of the two shoes in the pair has a stitching problem. They are getting rid of their rejected stock mostly.

Happy with the purchase
The initial order came a size bigger (I had ordered for 6 and No 7 came) The return was done, without hassel. I just put the request online and new shoe was delivered within a weeks time and that is when they picked up the return order. I really appreciate this.Since I explore the wilderness frequently, the shoe is best fit with good grip that goes in any kind of terrain and season. Recently I realised the ankle length shoe protected me from all kinds of grass thorns while my team mates had to take breaks to remove them from socks and shoes.I have been using this for years now and find this the most comfortable and reasonably priced. Though females shy away from the look, I think safety and comfort is more important in field and I kind of like the rough non girlish look. Though will be happy if I get the perfect size (No 5)

Non waterproof and skids on wet stones.
Absolutely fantastic shoes. Worth every penny. I was looking for a trekking shoes which I can use during dry as well as rainy season. After going through a lot of shoes Online, I came across this shoe. It is cheaper than most of the branded shoes. I thought of giving it a try and believe I am very happy i did. Very comfortable shoes. Regarding waterproof I have not checked it but it is antislip. Awesome product. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a good mountain trekking shoes. After using for trekking in rainy season.Shoes are not waterproof. I am using for trekking on nearby mountains in rainy season and water sips in instantly. Really upset with it. Also the sole grip is not strong skids very easily on wet stones.

Good, waterproof boots with poor quality laces
The boot is really good. The thickness of the material, the bottom is solid and is not slipping at all in normal terrain. Yet to test it on hikes and mountains. It repels water at a normal level quite well (tested by pouring a mug of water directly on top of it). With proper lacing technique, I believe it can guard against water or snow from top too. The only poor part are the laces which aren't of good quality. Thankfully we can buy them separately. This was somewhat of a steal for 1300

Alert!!!!!! Don't trust the positive reviews!!!
I recieved the products on scheduled date when opened it look exactly how it was shown and I was happy with the product. I kept the shoes aside with proper packing waiting for right opportunity to wear them which occurred last week, i wore them in excitement on my bike ride nearby, by the time i could reach to my bike parking i noticed outer sole has broke down like sponge.

Purchased on aug2022, writing this review on june 2024
Today i ordered a new pair, same brand after using my first one for nearly 2 years. It was good, cheap, comfortable, little water resistant.Only one thing to remember, donot keep it unused for long time in your sho rack, its PU sloe will become brittle and damaged, just like anyother jungle / riding boot...
