Riedel Max Champagne Glass, 1 Count (Pack of 1), Clear

I purchased this glass in April of 2021. I've knocked it over several times. It hit other glasses and was still good. The final knock over was in the bathroom and it broke. I really enjoyed the flavors of my champagne using this glass. I paid $35 for it. I went to order another one and the price increased to over $44. I'm not going to pay over $9 extra for it. Not sure if the price was increased because of the holiday. I can understand a $2 increase, but not $9. Riedel, do better.

Its a strange design the base is huge, no worries about tipping it over, but the stem is much too thin. Ordered two, and one was broken in shipment....the stem of course. I have other long stem wine glasses, but the stem on them are thicker, of course they do not look as elegant. Also I don't know who called this glass dishwasher safe, but I would only hand wash, and even then I would be holding my breath. The intended use is for Valentine's Day (and special occasions) so I'm keeping them (and getting a replacement), because they look nice, but I'm really on the fence, and I'm still thinking about returning them.

We have many Reidel crystal wine and champagne glasses, all stems, and we enjoy them all and highly recommend them. I had broken one of my champagne glasses and bought this one as it’s replacement. When it arrived, it was a different style than my others because the stem is far longer and thinner. It’s top heavy and easy to fall over. It’s a real challenge to wash and won’t go in the dishwasher even if there is a special stem section for wine glasses. After two weeks the stem snapped into during normal handling. I won’t replace it until I locate the model with a normal length stem.

Be aware that these glasses are very large, which shouldn’t be a surprise given the Max name, but caught me by surprise.
