Very good clear book on how to use the avidyne product

this book is a must for any new IFD owner. i found it very helpfull.

As a long time Garmin G1000 user I struggled with adapting to Avidyne avionics. This book in conjunction with the videos referenced helped me to bridge the gap between Garmin and Avidyne. The cost of the book is well worth the time saved in the cockpit.

Excellent learning tool when combined with the free Avidyne iPad simulator app. While the iPad app has changed slightly and the IFD software has been updated since this book was published, those differences are relatively minor and the book is still extremely useful. You will quickly find yourself expanding from the examples in the book into your own scenarios within the simulator using what you have learned in each chapter. Spend time with the book and simulator app (and the videos online, the Avidyne pilot guide) before burning gas in the airplane!

This book’s scenario based approach to teach the intricacies of Avidyne IFD 440/540 operations is so much better than trying to learn from the pilot’s guide. Worth every penny to purchase this book!
