PioneerMechlss Dbl Din Av Unit

Great price, bluetooth and ipod, thats all i wanted I guess. I always buy Pioneer, just cant help be a little disappointed with this one. This is incredibly priced, just some annoying things. There is only 3 colours for the theme, luminous paddy green, neon blue and bright red... there isn't a car on the planet that comes with lighting like that... all 3 look naff and cheap and totally dont match the car interior colours. I don't know why they would choose 3 colours that would suit nobody!!! Buttons are bright blue and cannot be changed. Wallpaper also cannot be changed, no options here, higher models you can save your own image... seems like this wouldnt have been hard to add. Again, great unit.... just the lighting for sure is a disappointment as is the lack of wallpapers. Great price... but next time i'd probably splash out for the higher model for the features that i didnt realize were important to me. Super easy to use, ipod / BT works great.Update: Having spent a few days with it now, my initial review was a little harsh. For the price, it looks incredible (in the day time), ipod and bluetooth work flawlessly and fast, really happy with it actually. The wallpaper and lighting, still wish it had options there, but for the price, this is a cracking head unit!

DO not buy if you live in a cold climate. This worked great up until the late fall / winter. the vehicle needs to warm up before it becomes responsive. Once the vehicle is warm, it works fine. Not the quality I expect from Pioneer. Search the web using the model number and see all the issues people have had when the model is cold. I wish I would have known before purchasing

Nice unit for the price.Screen is clear and bright.Able to adjust the sound fairly well.**Be aware of pioneer's hand brake system. If not wired in, it will limit what the unit can do...The song information does get confused on occasion.

Like its ok, but its cheap. and the display off and next song botton are way to close. You constantly turn the display off.Over all feel is eh. It works. But there might be better.

Very content with this unit. Increased my speaker strength both sound quality and bass quality from my stock radio head unit. Definitely recommend.Just a tip, you need a wiring harness apater for this to work. I used a RP5-GM11 for my 2003 Chevy Tahoe. Found on amazon as well
