I have to say living in the town where Tervis Tumblers are made where available is plentiful, I've been a loyal Tervis fan for years. I have two problem with Tervis though, one is that coffee and tea stain the inside and I can't find the type of mug I wanted. This mug is just what I was looking for. The color is beautiful and has a nice sheen. I've had both tea and coffee in it and so far there's been no stain at all. I can make a hot cup of tea that remains too hot to drink for a long time unless I leave the top off for 10 mins or so. I can't drink through the sip opening because I have facial paralysis, so I take off the lid to drink and put it back on between sips if I'm not drinking it all at once. It stays comfortably hot for well over an hour. I left the top off on the chai tea latte I made that is shown in the photo and it stayed hot to the last drop! Great product!

This would be a great product if its paint could stand up to a dishwasher without developing spots.For me, I can put up with it. It keeps my coffee warm, and appearances are not my priority first thing in the morning. My cup goes in the dishwasher.My wife, however, isn't so willing to put up with minor cosmetic foibles. Hers is hand-wash only, as per the instruction sheet that comes with the cups.We knew going in that these cups can't be used to warm up drinks in the microwave. Their stainless steel construction prevents that. But the added compromise necessary to protect the paint finish was a surprise.There may be other cups available with more durable finishes. You might do better looking elsewhere.

This is a sturdy cup with a nice 12 oz capacity for a large cup of coffee. It keeps my coffee pretty hot for an hour or so, but then it cools down to a warm temperature. The coffee flask from known brands like Hydroflask which has a fully sealed top keeps the coffee hot for 4 hours or more. The cup is nice to drink out of in the mornings at my desk during these work from home times, when I know I am not going to take that long to finish it. I prefer the flask option for the car or travel as it keeps the coffee hot much longer.The cup is sturdy, really round and has a wide grip handle, great for larger hands. The coating is nicely done, and the pink color that I purchased is even all over. It's important to wash these cups immediately after using as they develop coffee stain marks, and need to be deep cleaned every now and then.I am glad they changed the lid of the cup to a slider so the coffee or tea can be kept warmer longer by closing it. It is also better for carrying from room to room.Overall, the mug is a nice value for the price, but it has limited use for me as it does not keep the coffee hot for as much time as the flasks.

First off, the color of this mug (I got the light-pink sparkly one) is GORGEOUS! I got this mug to keep my coffee warm while I drink it, and intended to use without the lid. It works alright, but if you're looking for an insulated mug to keep your drink hot for long periods of time, I would look for something else. It works perfect for me and what I wanted, but is definitely not what you would expect from an "insulated" container. Beverages quickly lose their heat, and I'm sure using the lid improves this, but I (personally) wouldn't want to use this for camping or while at work. I would say it's one step up from a regular thick mug.Once again, I specifically looked for a product that had a design I liked with the intention of drinking over the course of a half hour, an hour at most, so I am VERY happy with my purchase. But would like to point out for others who might need it for longer periods of time.One of the things that caught my attention when considering buying was the round "corners". I find lots of times mugs tend to have sharper corners that coffee and hot chocolate tend to get stuck in. This doesn't happen, and makes it super quick and easy to clean!

This is really a neat-looking mug but, something tells me it'll give me about as much long-hot coffee as my now-mug if I could put a cover on it. It looks perfectly capable but it's very thin. 21st century manufacturing has found a way to make what you need thinner, and utiizing any other cost-cutting measures they can find. The other great manufacturing nation is adept at this. I'm not saying these things don't work; I'm saying, at what point do you say this is not the product it should be, or has been in the past. Everything looks perfect, but I just think if you're hooked on their claim to be a true thermal travel mug that STAYS hot, I'd look for something a little more thermal.Update: June 1st, the cover is really a slick one, smooth slide to sip, and its composition DOES hold the heat. It is not a bad cup. I wish there were more to it, and a little thicker lip. But as they say in the biz, it is what it is, and if you need to not spend a bunch, this is a good choice.

These are nice cups and this review has nothing to do with their quality. I love the color and am happy with the cups. I received my "6-pack" of cups this week. The outside shipping box was sealed and in good shape. But the interior packaging that held the cups was damaged and only contained 5 cups. There is no chance that a cup was lost in transit. This is 100% a failure of the shipping warehouse to simply inspect the damaged product before shipping it. Amazon is really struggling to maintain the quality of service that they were built on. I would buy these cups again, but I'm going to start transitioning away from Amazon as my main source of purchases.

Not happy at all. This cup doesn’t keep my very hot coffee warm any longer than a normal household coffee mug. There is also something between the vacuum sealed layer that I hear rolling around every time I lift the cup. Lastly it’s so big at the base that it doesn’t fit into my cup holders in my truck. Will not buy another.

See photos where I point out where the coffee residual is. The lid is designed so that it can be slide open and close but it does not provide a way to open up and clean the residual under the lid. I’m very concerned as we are drinking from it. This build up is just less than 10 uses. I’m returning it.
