I give it 3 stars. But the product is 5 stars. Only issue is, if you replace this whole piece you lose your facial recognition from your iPhone. So you’ll need to de-solder the speaker or buy just the speaker alone to avoid soldering otherwise be ready to do some soldering. If you want to keep your facial recognition for your iPhone.

The ear speaker went out on my daughters phone but she was still using it. Her phone needed a screen replacement so I decided to fix the ear piece at the same time. Seems to be working very well. Good price

We were doing screen replacement and noticed this part was bad to and ordered it. Fast shipping and pretty easy to install. Worked instantly once installed.

I would give this zero stars if I could. I was looking to replace the original earpiece because the flex cable had somehow ripped a bit and it caused it to not work anymore. I found this and the reviews seemed ok. I got it and installed it, following a YouTube video. Anytime I try to call someone, the proximity sensor doesn’t work and I end up pressing random buttons on accident because the screen doesn’t turn off when you put it to your ear. Another problem is that the audio is extremely distorted. Horrible. You can’t understand anything coming from the speaker. It sounds muffled and just very unintelligible. It’s loud too, so when you’re watching a video or listening to music you hear like a buzzing coming from the top speaker. Even on the lowest volume you can hear it and it’s very annoying. I contacted the company asking them to send me a replacement and they said they can’t because they’re in Denmark and don’t have control over the Amazon products or something like that. And I can’t do an exchange or return through Amazon because I only have this phone and need it for work. It was a waste of money and I wouldn’t recommend this to anybody. Just take it to Apple to get it fixed. You’re better off spending more money to make sure the sound will work well and you’ll have the security of knowing that it’s a genuine part.

I have never attempted to fix my phone before. But with the economy the way it is, here we are. Getting the glass apart from phone body proved to be difficult but doable especially with heat assistance. The speaker is quite easy to remove and replace only needing 4 screws to remove from screen. The connector is delicate but easily removable with spudging tool. The speaker volume is very loud and quite clear. The problem I ran into is that now Face ID will not work. Not something I anticipated as I thought when ordering, oh it’s just a speaker and moved on. In actuality it’s a whole speaker camera unit. The phone quickly identified it was not a factory product installed. Notified apple on my phone account. And Face ID will not work. So as long as you’re good with that. Should be fine.

Like some people in the reviews section, they’ve decided to go the soldering route which is to replace your earpiece speaker yet keep Face ID enabled by soldering the new speaker onto the original flex cable. Honestly, I’m not even that good at Micro soldering myself, yet thank god, using some tutorials which actually barely helped, I was able to solder the new speaker onto the original flex. The sound is good, it’s not like it’s nothing bad. Although, what I did was I bought a full on iPhone repair kit with every screwdriver and every item I would possibly need, and in my opinion I would recommend this to be prepared.
