Very detailed and cool piece, but I doubt it will hold up with time.
A while back NECA released a life-sized replica of the Facehugger with it's egg for a staggering $400, a price that's was too high for me to invest in and I'm a huge Alien fan; thankfully they released the Facehugger by itself for a fraction of the price so I took the plunge and I'm glad I didn't go for the full package.First off the Facehugger is really well detailed with a great paintjob and all of the fleshy crevices sculpted into it. There's some accuracy issues, with it being just a bit too big and the "fingers" being thicker than what you see on screen, but overall any Alien fan would love this piece hanging somewhere in their house. A+ on the overall aesthetic, but that's par for the course with NECA.Poseability is severely lacking, the two top fingers are stuck in a "curled" pose and can't be moved at all, and all of the other fingers can't really be posed either. I do believe there is wire in them but they won't keep any shape I try to put them in, very disappointing, you can't really even "wrap" them around your head and get them to hold. The tail has bendable wire in the whole length but due to the material you won't be wrapping it tightly around anything, let alone your neck.Sadly, the last bit ruins the whole piece for me is that it's whole construction is made from foam and coated with rubber/latex. It feels "cheap" but not only that, it's going to break apart with heat which is why I'm even scared to pose the tail at all. It also has a bit of a smell to it which I can even smell from across the room. It's hard to recommend, I would only recommend it because I've been waiting for a life-sized Facehugger for a long time (that isn't a plush toy) and I don't think anyone else is going to make a proper one so this is the best I can get. If you can find this for maybe $40 I say jump on it, but after paying $70 after shipping and having it in hand, I wouldn't recommend it.

Facehugger!
El producto es ideal para coleccionistas, lo único que no me ha gustado es el olor a plástico que tiene, no sé, es un olor un tanto peculiar, por lo demás contento con la adquisición

Beautiful replica, one major flaw.
First off, this looks fantastic. It's gross and looks just like they did in the film, and for that it gets 3 stars. It loses 2 stars however, due to the fingers not being posable at all. This leaves you with a very flat face hugger that is really only suitable for hanging on a wall, or taking up an entire shelf or coffee table. It can't even hug your face.. I don't understand why there wasn't some armature wire inside the fingers to make this near flawless replica, absolutely perfect..

Creepy looking replica that's almost worth the price.
So my Alien Facehugger came in the mail today and I was very impressed. The detail and paint was much better than the picture shows. The Facehugger was much darker than the version shown here and paint was added giving it a slimy, more textured look from a distance. The price is a little steep, but it is a well done 1:1 replica of an Alien Facehugger, so let's not pretend that we have other options.

Looks fantastic but...
I'm not gonna lie here. At first I felt a bit of buyers remorse. I went into the purchase knowing that the fingers could not be bent like the tail however I didn't realized how stiff they would be. They feel as if you tried to bend them in any way(like trying to bend the fingers around your face)that they would surely break. All in all I love how this looks on my wall but it's certainly not a usable prop in the way you would hope.
