Amazon finally changed the information, making most of the review below not applicableI have not purchased again to know if the bit is still 1/8" shorter than standardOrdered 3 times and the product is of a 2X bit not a 4X as some pics show and the bullet points list twice.I received a 2X bit with a 4X part number on the package.It is aiso 1/8" shorter than standard, so it won't drill through 3 2x4's which is common it the construction field

I'm not sure why the reviews on these are not of the correct product. But I have used these Irwin Speedbor bits quite a bit. They are great for quickly drilling holes in studs prior to running electrical lines, however if you hit a nail, they become damaged easily. But that is the case with all the spade bits that I have used.

This was perfect for the hardware on a bi fold door. The part arrived quick. It was undamaged. The bit was sharp and ready to use. Fit perfectly in a drill or even a quick change impact driver. This did the job for what was needed at a great price.

I drilled about 7 holes without a problem on 2x4s. It did not break, bend or struggle to drill through. So I would buy this brand again.

Although it's hard to pay almost $4 for a single bit, this one didn't let me down. I used it to drill the bolt holes in my climbing wall and it did exactly what I needed it to with no hassle.

Used for August lock install for proximity sensor (to embed in door frame). Did the job.

Great bit that puts a standard paddle bit to shame if your drill has the power to keep it moving.

Very well made for the price. Used it to drill a whole for my new Peep Whole on my front door.

Got the job done with no fuss. I used it to cut wallboard and framing lumber. Great for the price is you needed just one, otherwise better to buy a full set? Zero problem with delivery.
