Pain in the Rump with a 6 yr old suv
This is the 6th or 7th hitch I've installed over the last 6 yrs. Should have been the easiest too. No drilling or "widening" of holes. Fish wire is plenty long, but bend a hook in the end, fish them backwards, then thread the bolts on.The issue was with that the 6yr old frame had some good rust build up in the frame nuts. Took a while with wd-40 and running the bolts in and out carefully. There is plenty of room for a cordless impact wrench. still a pain in the junk. What should have been a 20 minute job with running the wires took close to 2 hours of fussing with things. The receiver came without a box, it had quite a few chips in the powder coat. hardware and everything was taped up really good so we didn't lose anything. Not a huge deal, but touch things up as needed. We picked the class II over class III mostly because that what most of our stuff uses. I have a custom built cargo carrier made with 1 1/4" square tube and the bike carrier is also 1 1/4". with 2" ball, this will have no issues with U-haul trailers.Like all the other hitches, this one will last longer than the vehicle.

Great hitch but some mysteries for installation
First of all, I'm no mechanic, and this review is just my experience and opinion. See the attached picture for reference. This is my second Draw-Tite hitch. My first one went on my 2004 Wrangler no problem and works great. My 2014 GMC Terrain however was a puzzle to solve. First, I was unlucky that there are no square holes to receive the bolts above the receiver, which Draw-Tite anticipated. They supplied long wires to push a metal plate through the bumper bar where it would then receive the bolts to attach the hitch. This proved to be very challenging but I figured it out on one side. On the other side I realized that it is easier to push a string through the bar, attach to the plate, and pull it into place. These appear to be the most important bolts for structural integrity. I needed an extended ratchet head to tighten. Next, I attempted to use the bolts supplied to secure the sides of the hitch. These bolts did not match the welded nuts, but I had a couple in supply that did match. I needed two more to complete job, so I called customer service to send these to me. The person on the phone was clearly an experienced mechanic, and spoke the language. But she insisted that the nuts on my four-year old vehicle must be rusty and needed cleaning and even perhaps to be re-tapped. She said this is a safety issue and can't just send out smaller bolts. Seriously, that is much more than I was willing to commit for a DIY project. Besides, she was just wrong. I went to the hardware store and bought the bolts that fit for 79 cents a piece. They fit perfectly and appear to be rock solid. (Bolts supplied required a 3/4 ratchet head; bolts that actually fit took a 5/8 head.) That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Great value but wrong bolts
I purchased this hitch for a 2017 Chevy Equinox AWD LT. Everything came perfectly wrapped with all advertised parts. However, the 1/2” bolts were too large for the 7/16” holes in my vehicle. Went to the hardware store to get the proper sized bolts with the right grade for the hitch.

Took 10 minutes to install!
Came with everything I needed to easily install this on a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox. All hardware was correct. Literally took me 10 minutes to install it. Definitely worth the money.

Does not come with ball mount
Perfect fit for my 2017 GMC Terrain. I did buy a tap ahead of time to clean out the holes in the frame rail. Made installation much easier. Photos show it with a ball mount and hitch pin, be aware it does not come with those items. That seems a little misleading and is why I'm only giving it 4 stars instead of 5.

Check accessories for correct size
We tried a few times to install. Felt it was my automobile fault because of rust and finally took it to a truck, trailer and hitch place and they said the bolts that were sent were not the right size. They found some a bit smaller and now everything is fine.

Rusty threads
Hitch is great if you have a new car install.do it now, here in the Midwest rust will make the threads you are bolting to auto a little funky .so I would advise run a bolt in holes with oil before install.other than that job was easy. Good luck Jim

But anyway it Installed fine on my 2015 Terrrain it was just a pain ...
Came in a couple of days. Had everything I needed and I was done in a few hours due to rusty mounting hardware. The only way you are installing this thing in 25 min is if the car has never encountered any road salt or dirt. which is impossible unless you are putting this on in the factory. But anyway it Installed fine on my 2015 Terrrain it was just a pain as I had to re-thread all of the pre installed nuts.
