Works Perfectly and as Advertised
Not sure what these other folks did to melt there cables, but as long as you install these properly, it should work just fine. I used this with an HP P/N L25331-001 from SCREENARAMA. Installed it into an HP Pavilion 15t-cs0 (8th Gen Intel variant) and everything worked without any hitches. Obviously, make sure to disconnect battery and power source when doing this work. Make sure you discharge any static. And of course, inspect the adapter for any damages just in case. But again, these are super simple so I'm erring towards the melted ones being installed incorrectly. Anyways, worked fine for me with the above hardware, so, best of luck!

Bricked my ThinkPad
Take into consideration what the other reviewers have said. Installed this adapter on my ThinkPad and instantly bricked my motherboard. All I wished to do was fix my display and now I am down a vital piece of equipment for school and work. Thank you very much for destroying my livelihood. DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU WANT A VERY EXPENSIVE PAPER WEIGHT!

This is ruin your laptop.
The connector burned and it fried my motherboard with it. Don't buy this, it WILL ruin your hardware.
