The Original Gino's East of Chicago Deep Dish 3 Pack (Crumbled Sausage)

This item was just as good at home & oven, as if I was in the restaurant in Chicago and have ordered it and ate it.

I was hoping to get a good Gino's pizza like I remember for a long time ago in Chicago. What I received had a very good flavor but was mostly crust. I was expecting a lot more filling. I will not be buying them again.

As a native Chicagoan and long time devotee of deep dish pizza, I was prepared to be disappointed in having Gino's shipped to California. However, to my surprise, this pizza was very, very good. I won't pretend that it's like sitting down at Gino's East in Chitown, but was far superior to any of the attempts at deep dish pizza I have tried on the West Coast. It arrived still frozen which is no mean feat when the delivery is in Palm Springs and the outside temp is over 100 degrees. I put it on my BBQ oven and reheated as directed and it came out perfectly done. The crust was crunchy, the tomato was piquant, the cheese was gooey, and there was a ton of crumbly Italian sausage. At $30 a pie it is really no more expensive than the cost of local mediocre pizzas when you factor in the tip. Now ready to give Giordano's and Lou Malnati's a try!

Aways a great gift for friends and family who are not from Midwest

The pizza itself was very good but I found the crust to be tasteless.

If you want this quality frozen Chicago pizza. Go get Uno at Walmart. I have had the pizza at the original Pizzeria Uno in Chicago, I've had Giordano's , in Orlando where it was made fresh and it was great. I also had it in Vegas where it was cooked from frozen at their shop. Horrible. If you want a Chicago style pizza, don't want to make it yourself and insist on ordering, Get Lou Malnati's. We have tried them all, Lou's is the best on line.

One of the best frozen pizzas you'll ever taste, rivals pizzeria Uno. Must be a fan of deep dish.

Bought these for my step dad because he can't get to Illinois anymore. He loved them!!!
