Great tool for leather mallet
Well made and great price point. Was using a small metal hammer to strike punches and the like, and had little success with quick, accurate strikes. This handsome mallet answers all that and more. Most surprising is the nylon is not marred by striking the metal punches...

Weighty and durable, feels good in the hand
Fabulous mallet with a great feel and made of excellent material. Enough weight to not require much effort when stamping. Handle feels great and is a good fit in my hand (size 9 glove). Cannot go wrong with this for the average user.

Very "Handy" Nice..
Very high-end feeling tool. The size and weight are spot-on perfect for a desktop type everyday leather working hand tool. Perfect size for quick maneuvering and punch tapping without excess wind-up handle length that could get in the way and be bothersome working in a desktop type setting. The ergonomics of the handle are spot-on as well. Really glad I purchased this.

Lighter weight than advertised but still a good mallet
Bit of false advertising claiming the weight of this mallet is around a pound. Seems much lighter than that, imo. Regardless, it’s a decent mallet for light to medium work. I wouldn’t use this to pound rivets or to make deep impressions. You’ll need a weightier mallet for that, I think. It has an issue with unscrewing itself but I fixed that with some crazy glue. It’s slightly smaller than I anticipated but feels comfortable in the hand and is balanced Overall, not a bad mallet for the price

Maul
Works well and has the right weight for punching through leather. Great quality and finish.

Maul weighs only 9oz not the 1lb as described in the item description.
Have not used the maul yet but the description is quite misleading. The description shows the item weight as .47kg(1lb). Item actually weighs just over 9oz. The item including the packaging weighs almost 1lb. Specifically purchased because I was looking for a 1lb to do leather tooling. Will try this since we have it and update once that happens but not happy with the misleading description.
