Swiss Ortho Sleep, 10" High-Density, 3 x Layered Gel & Memory Foam Mattress, with Bamboo Cover, Full

Early June 2016: The mattress came two days earlier than expected and stayed in the box for about 10 days. I wish we had let it out much sooner. It did have the very strong smell that other memory foam reviewers mention. Someone said it was like drycleaning and that seems pretty accurate, but lots stronger than that. It is less after being expanded for two weeks, but still wouldn't be nice to sleep on. I really don't want to zip this thing into a vinyl mattress cover. The corners are still a bit hard and compressed, but acceptable. It measures 61"wide x 80" long x 8.5" deep with 3 of the corners being about 7.5" and the other 8" deep. Although this is advertised as a 10" mattress I think this will be ok. I have stashed the mattress in an extra bedroom with open windows and only lain on it for a short time. It feels very firm, but comfortable. I might like it better if it were softer. I can't tell you yet if the cool gel aspect helps. Our old memory foam mattress topper gets very hot and I am hoping the cooling gel helps alleviate this and will try to remember to update after we have slept on it a few times. The fabric around the mattress seems nice and there is a zipper along one long side of the mattress. Altogether with the price being fairly low and even though it isn't quite as deep as advertised I think this will be a good purchase if the smell will just go away.Update Late October 2016: I am adding stars. Two of my grown sons have slept on this mattress and both really like it. All but the corners of the mattress plumped up nicely and the corners aren't bad and don't cause the mattress to look or feel odd. The smell went away finally. It is a very comfortable mattress to sleep on. It does feel very firm but I don't feel pressure points as I do on other firm mattresses. Both sons agreed that they didn't notice feeling hot on the memory foam. After learning the price we paid, one son wants to order one for himself but the Queen size he wants isn't in stock currently - the price seems to have gone up as well. Love this bed, it's very comfy. I ordered the queen size and it's true to size, fits my new frame perfectly. The bamboo cover is soft and I love that it protects the mattress, plus it's removable and washable. This bed is firmer than I'm used to, but my husband and I both have less back pain since using this bed. It's supportive and contours to your body. If one of us rolls over or gets out of bed, the other person can't feel it, leading to a better night's sleep.Overall, great bed at a great price and I would recommend it.This bed came vacuum packed in a box that was approximately 5 feet tall and 12"x12". It was around 50 or 60 pounds and came delivered by FedEx. After taking off all the shrink wrap, the bed came up to size within a couple hours. The cover came already on the mattress, it was nice that I didn't have to wrestle it on there right after opening the bed.There was no lingering smell and we slept on it the same night.

I don't normally write reviews for products but, I felt it was necessary with this mattress. Here we go.They should raise the price on this mattress immediately. There's no way that this mattress ( I bought the Queen ) should be this cheap. ($120 + shipping when I purchased it)It was shipped way faster than estimated. Amazon originally said it would take 10 days. It was here in 5. It came in a 2 person lift box that I manhandled by myself into the bedroom. After unwrapping it, the mattress immediately started to expand to size. Yes, there is a slight smell. It's not terrible and it's gone down quite a bit in the past 3 days since it arrived, but I think that's how it is with all memory foam mattresses that come factory sealed. I didn't bother me at all. Within a few hours, it was almost completely expanded. Unfortunately, after 3 days, the corners are still a little crushed. Not bad, and not enough for me to cry about it, but they are noticeably squashed more than the rest of the bed. With the bed made and the blankets cover it, you can't even tell. That's the only reason I'm knocking a star off of the rating. The corners may eventually expand completely, who knows.At first, the mattress seems really firm. Wait for it. Slowly, you start to sink in and realize that it's perfectly supporting your body. I usually wake up every morning with a stiff lower back. In the 3 nights I've had this mattress, that stiffness in my back has decreased, if not disappeared completely. That right there is why this mattress is worth way more than I paid for it. I don't think I roll around as much at night either. If I'm awake when I do, I can consciously feel that firm-wait for it-then sinking feeling. It's kinda nice. Time will tell if these sleep benefits continue, but my early review is that I physically feel better after sleeping on this mattress.Buy this now and don't think twice. If they fix the somewhat crushed corner issue, it's a 5 star product all day/night long.

Arrived right on time, expanded in about 2 hours, very little chemical odor (which is typical of foam mattressess), and very comfortable. Love the cover and the bed sleeps cool... You can actually feel the cool gel later when you lay down on it. Bought this as a guest bed on a platform frame and am extremely happy with it. It has a medium firm feel but not hard by any means. You don't sink in but it does conform to your body. If it is too firm, put a soft feather bed on top. Can't beat the price! You will need two people to haul it up stairs but other than that, very easy set up! No regrets.

This mattress is not firm at all! It is super plush and uncomfortable. Not as advertised at all!
