Value and quality

I tried screw spring assemblies from two other companies that didn't work before I ordered these that did the job. Previously ordered flint screw spring assemblies were way too small to seat and screw into the flint tube on two lighters I have. They would just pop out. These spring assemblies appeared to have been manufactured for my lighter brand. They fit like OEM! If you need a replacement screw spring assembly, this is the one to get. Made from brass and steel, not cheap aluminium and base metal.

Headline says it all, it's a perfect fit for genuine Zippo lighters. At least as of this writing and shipment (Mid-June 2021) I verified that the flint screw kit is a perfect fit in Zippo lighters. The key is the thread pitch on the screw, it's coarse which matches a Zippo flint tube. If you buy the wrong assembly (there seems to be a lot of them around), the thread pitch tends to be finer and may mess up the threads on your Zippo's flint tube. That's because the finer pitch threads are intended for the not-Zippo Zippo-style lighters.

The spring is great. I had to change the brass screw to to fit the thread size of the lighter I was repairing. I had been repairing an old Japanese continental Chesterfield lighter , switching the brass screw was very easy. My lighter now is working perfectly.

My Zippo still not working because Flint won't start a fire. I checked several times with different flints, but unfortunately no-one is working.
