Brainerd 126449 Wood Architectural Double Decorator Wall Plate / Switch Plate / Cover, Light Almond

This plate comes in packaging that is NOT Liberty Hardware (but I believe it is a brand Liberty Hardware makes and sells at Lowes and other big box home stores). It is a slightly smaller plate than the one Liberty Hardware made in the past and the screw holes are embedded in the top and bottom ridge rather than above and below it as in the photo.That said, the plate works fine. It is wood so it can be trimmed for switch boxes placed too close to corners, etc. It is a little tight in the switch opening but you can scrape it a little if it wont slip on.The look is great. If you have white moldings in your kitchen like we do, these do a great job dressing up your switches.

I was forced to buy as this is what the existing switch covers are. The quality of the product is hit or miss, there always seem to be some scars or imperfections on the products. they work, hardly noticeable, but not a perfect product. they seem to hold up well and i have not noticed any discoloration after 3 years.

These wall plates give such a great look. I got these for my apartment years ago and love them so much that I got them again for my new house. I used both white and light almond. My sister likes them as well and will probably use these in her place.

These are okay. I bought a couple to see how they would look with my project as I adore the design. I wasn't overly impressed to the point that I wanted to spend a few hundred dollars replacing all of the outlets and plates with this style. One of the factors that originally appealed to me is that these are made of wood. However, they have a more plastic appearance to them in person. Also, I have the sense that they scratch up and show wear really easily. One of them got scratched up just from installation. Yikes... I know that use by my family would beat these up in no time.

Remodeled a bathroom for a customer how liked the Victorian Style architecture. Used this wall plate as a decorative item to dress up that aspect of the room.

It is an interesting architectural shape, but it didn't fit quite right - I had to force it to fit over the switch. Like many cheaper plates, the paint on the screws chips off easily. Also (and most importantly for me), it's not true white. It's almost Navajo white (Benj Moore) in color and looks dirty next to the pure white of the switch. I plan on spray painting it to match.

Beautiful upgrade for any home. Saved a good amount of money purchasing through Amazon as opposed to Lowes.
