GREAT KIT AT A GREAT PRICE FOR BEGINNERS OF ALL AGES!
Bought this to have some crafting fun with granddaughter. Love the fact it has so many accessories as well as three sizes of assorted beautiful colors of paper. You can start quilling as soon as kit arrives as long as you have some simple glue!! Not one of those craft kits you have to hope everything needed to start making things as soon as the kit arrives are included. Open it, get the glue, and you are on the way to fun and creating beautiful things. I Used to quill many years ago when I was younger and saw this kit and wanted to enjoy quilling again and teach my granddaughter. Make memories and precious keepsakes. Maybe one day she can teach hers. It is a very fun back to basics craft that does not involve a huge investment or take up a lot of room. Everything comes in a nice sturdy box that we use to store everything in. She made a picture/card for her mom and dad. WE LOVE IT!!! HOPE YOU DO TOO!

So much stuff for the money!!
This kit really has TONS of stuff! You don’t need anything but a cheap bottle of regular white glue. Very enjoyable hobby.

Nice set.you can make nice craft . I bought for my daughter to keep her busy but unfortunately she was not that much interested into quilling. I made couple birthday cards and they turned out pretty nice.

Nice starter set however an item was missing.
This is a nice starter set. The quilling paper comes in a variety of colors and sizes. The tools are a good quality. Unfortunately the pins were missing from my order.

Quilling set – good beginner set but has some flaws & defects
This set provided everything as described. However, there definitely are some flaws. I've provided details about the components and pictures as well. Everything came provided in the cardboard box so you can keep your kit together. Mine was actually shipped directly in this box.Here's a break-down of the set:Quilling paper –7 sets of 5mm paper in the colours shown, 1 set of 3mm multi-colour paper, 1 set of 7mm multi-colour paper. Overall, really nice selection of colours and sizes!Hand tools - (tweezers, needle tool, slotted tool)Lower quality tools but would work for beginners until higher quality tools purchased. The needle tool rotates within the plastic handle. Long-term durability not likely.Quilling shape board -Pictures in the product description should a cork-board underlay. The one received, is lower quality where the plastic template is attached to purple foam. There are glue bubbles within some of the shapes that will need to be scraped away. The foam will not last long if pins are used as even using the needle tool to move the paper in a shape caused a scar/cut in the foam.Crimper -Seems to work fairly well. Made of plastic but handle turns freely and smoothly. It provides two types of crimping.Mini-mold -As pictured, but in pink instead of blue. Should work as intended.Husking board with pins -Husking board received with small ziploc containing 20 pins. Should work as intended. However, there is no storage area within the board, as seen with other models, so the pins could easily get lost.Straight pin set in storage wheel -Not the best quality of pins. The coloured heads have the colours chipped, etc. Some of the pins are bent and many are dull. However, they will work for a time and do not really need to be especially sharp for use in the foam. They will likely not last long.Glue bottle -Actually really happy with this! It's GREAT! I filled it with a little clear glue. The bottle seals well and the precision tip provides a great application of a small amount of glue to the paper without messing around with toothpicks, etc. There is a rubber cap on a ring around the neck of the bottle with caps the tips nicely so it won't dry out.Curling Coach -Unlike other products whose reviews said the black markings were missing, this product has the markings visible. However, it was FLAWED, in that the hole was too small to fit a slotted tool, including the one provided. We used a small filing bit from a dremel tool and filed it slightly by hand to increase the hole size so it can be used.Grid guide, release sheet, & flower template.-Provided, but not sure how useful they will be. We are using the release sheet (clear plastic template) to keep glue off our workstation and it can be used overtop of the patterns.Patterns-8 double-sided patterns provided with a mini-picture of the finished product shown in the corner. The sheets are not very thick – like a magazine page so you would want to either copy or use a sheet over top (e.g. release sheet). Some of the patterns might be ok but most will never get used. There are no details on the patterns as to how to make the designs or what techniques are used. The pictures are small to see the details.Overall, the kit is ok – the paper and glue bottle are GREAT! - but many of the tools and other items are of lower quality or poorly manufactured.I really hope you find this review was helpful to you!!
