Q: Can ypu use this under a vinyl pergola?

Sure if it’s open air but save your money and don’t buy this unit the manufacture doesn’t have any spare parts, especially the glass cylinders, and when it breaks, it makes this unit completely in operable

Q: Does this come with a cover?

It doesn’t come with a cover but we found one that works and was reasonably priced made by Dyna-Glo. We love the heater and it wasn’t a big challenge to find a cover that worked.

Q: can this be used on a screen porch?

I would think so as long as the heater isn't right next to anything. I have a 7ft ceiling on my outdoor patio with vinyl bead board, these work perfectly.
