Quality was AWFUL for this price. The leather is incredibly thin, and to top it off on my FIRST wear while buttoning this up the button snapped off! I am an iron worker by trade and do a lot of overhead welding. DO NOT BUY

Love this thing. It gives great protection while welding. Combined with the IRONCAT 7010 Heat Resistant Split Cowhide apron I have the protection I need. The snaps can be a little hard to snap, but that is a minor thing. Ordered April 20, 2017 and I built a 16x34 6"C-purlin and 6"Receiver channel cover on 4x4-11ga posts; all welded. Great protection. Built metal handrails for my son's deck and about to build him a weld together 30x30 carport and expect this unit to continue to protect me though the process. I am very happy with the Ironcat products.

This product keeps me from getting burned while welding or grinding. It also keep me from getting wire bits from in bedding in my skin while using a wire wheel. Worth the money.

Do not purchase if you intended to use the product in a hot environment! Over all it performs well at keeping skin coved for welding, it’s just extremely hot in the summer time, Awsome product though!

It's big enough in the shoulders and the leather is heavy enough. But the arms are made for skinny arms. Mine are smaller than they used to be, but the sleeves are still constricting even when I'm just wearing a t-shirt and nothing bulky.

Working in the New Mexico heat is as much about staying not hot as getting the work done. This jacket with my leather apron reduces the heat factor and is more comfortable than my full jacket. It is cut a little small in the arms but overall is a good fit.

Low quality. I saw someone else mention a snap coming off right away. Same thing happened to me. Not a huge thing, but turns the shirts I am wearing under it yellow. I am able to snap it tighter around one wrist to more easily slip a welding glove over it, but not the other side. Just not well made.

I use this when I am wearing my welding apron, then I don't have to take off my apron to put on my regular welding jacket
