Here’s he scenario. I bought a new desk and put it in the middle of the study. My desktop ATX case has now been moved which means a whole new way of wiring my computer and speaker set up. The subwoofer needs three Stereo cables to reach my ATX case. Luckily this came in a three pack so I killed two birds with one stone. I picked these for what appeared to be their durability. Seeing as how they’ll be stretched along the ground I need them to withstand the occasional foot traffic or rollover with a chair wheel. And they definitely have proven to be reliable thus far. They are your standard 3.5mm jacks. No loss in sound quality regardless of their length. They also fit securely in the ports, which is a big plus. Professional note: if your jacks fit securely it means they are better quality. Each portion of the jack separated by the thin black insulator gets the proper connection. If the jack is loose, you don’t get that connection and instead you will have a loss in power, quality, and may end up damaging your devices (i.e., your speakers). I give this product four stars because if I ever need to order them again there is a very low chance I will search somewhere else for another product. I will revisit after several more months of use and re-rate it, but it does look like I’ll upgrade it to a five star from what I’ve experienced already.

Works great

Works really well. I used this in place of a single cable for a bass control knob because my dog kept breaking it. This one held up to his abuse and sends the signal over correctly. Initially I tried fixing it by rewiring a 3.5mm jack head from amazon but wasn't successful even though it was wired correctly. I'm unsure what makes rewiring it not work on the bass control knob but this does in fact work.

Great extender for connecting my audio system to my PC. Previously, I always had to disconnect the audio cable when moving the PC as the length was short. With this cable extension, the problems is solved. The cable works very well and easy to fix the cable shortness. The quality was excellent and am very happy with the result. Highly resommended.

As several other 1* reviews have noted, this Amazon Basics cable was defective right from the start. If the headphones are plugged in all the way, so it snaps securely, almost no sound comes through at all. It's barely detectable. If you plug the headphone jack in only partway and manage to find the perfect sweet spot, you can get better sound -- but obviously that doesn't provide a very secure connection. This cable is obviously very cheaply made, with zero quality control. It's just garbage. Naturally, I initiated a return, and Amazon offered to ship me a brand new one free of charge, and helpfully they said I didn't even have to return the defective cable. Fine, I thought, I can wait a few more days. The new package arrived swiftly, but YOU GUESSED IT, the new cable is defective in exactly the same way. Note that the problem is definitely with the Amazon Basics cable. Both performed the same way with every set of headphones in the house, and on multiple different devices. It is clear from the other reviews mentioning the same problem that this is a widespread problem with Amazon Basics cables. Whole batches are probably defective, and they KNOW IT, and they're still shipping them out anyway with no quality control. This time I asked for my money back, and of course now I DO have to go to the trouble to ship their garbage back to them. I am done with Amazon Basics products. RAISE YOUR STANDARDS, Amazon!
