Is this really non slip and not easy to shift?

Does this mat have a strong rubber smell, something people complained about with other brands?

Not gonna lie, it has been quite a while since I bought this rug .. however .. I do not recall ever thinking that it had a strong rubber odor .. I cannot say for sure there was absolutely none, but I think I would remember if it was anything offensive, because I ended up buying another one later on. If you have not already thought about it, you could check at a local Home Depot or similar store, to see if they have them and just give it a sniff. I don't know if the price would be better at Home Depot but you could at least check it out first. Good luck.

I'm wondering if dog hair clings to this floor mat. I want an indoor mat where the hair doesn't intertwine on the hairs of the rug?

I never really thought about this but now that I see the question I can give you my thoughts .. I bought mine as a slip protector for our big girl as she came in her doggy door .. it did not fit quite right so I did not use it for long .. I'm sure any rug is going to collect dog hair to some extent but I will say that the weave is pretty strong and solid .. it probably would collect some hair but maybe not as bad as others and it vacuums up good .. if you are desperate for something sooner than later, it might be worth a try .. good luck .. all that loose hair is certainly the price we pay for unconditional love ❤
