Nice to look at, terrible to work with.
Build of the tablet is nice and light, its pen is passive, slim(tad thicker than a regular pencil) and very light to hold though has a cheap feel. The buttons on the tablet are very solid and tactile although somewhat difficult to find due to the small surface area, the pen's buttons however are mushy and very cheap feeling. The tablet is USB-C powered with an L-shaped connector which makes it easy toThe driver is easy to install and quite stable, it has a the ability to remap the pen and tablet buttons to keystrokes/hotkeys, mouse buttons, additionally the tablet buttons can be set on a per-application basis. There is also a pressure ramp that sets how every program will react to the pen's pressure which is quite nice. However, there are a couple glaring issues which caused me to send back the item, first off is the pressure sensitivity, although the device advertises that it has 8192 levels of pressure I personally find that very hard to believe from my experience using the device. Using a simple app I wrote to output the pressure I found the Deco01 was inaccurate, and had fewer discrete levels of pressure than a old Wacom, and the Ugee M708 which only has 2048 levels of pressure, leading me to believe the unit I received most likely had 1024 or possibly lower levels of pressure. I conducted this test with the driver installed and again with no driver installed and the result was the same. (Contact me if you wish to use the app to compare your tablet also)Secondly, the force in which I have to apply to reach anything above ~45% of its total pressure output feels like I'm almost breaking the pen, needless to say its NOT a good feeling at all and completely takes me out of my flow. To mitigate this I had to scale the pressure ramp in the driver so that 25% outputs as 50%, and 50% outputs as 100% inclusive, so realistically speaking only half if its advertised "8192 levels of pressure" is actually usable without feeling like you're about to break the pen.Another issue I encountered, and certainly one of the most aggravating ones is the pen's side buttons, pressing any of them caused the cursor to jump anywhere up to 2cm downwards at random, making using tools like eyedropper almost impossible. This seems to be a fault in the relatively-new passive technology of the product, as other battery-powered Ugee devices doesn't have this bug. (fyi Ugee is the manufacture for most tablets that aren't Wacom, such as the Pablo and XP-Pen range, including the Deco01).Additionally the surface of the tablet scratches very easily from the pen, even light strokes under 10% cause a streak to be left behind. For the couple days I used it the surface was still smooth, however it doesn't seem likely the surface would remain uniform and smooth after months of use.At £60 there is really no excuse for these issues, especially when compared to the £30 Ugee M708, which has none of these issues and feels like a more premium product. The only thing I prefer about the Deco01 over the M708 is the adjustable pressure ramp, lightweight driver, and smooth surface(easily remedied by a £2 10" matte screen protector).

Surface bubbled up
After a few days the surface started to bubble (see photo) and has become gradually worse over the last few weeks. It is still usable but in time the bubbling will start to break up and I think the tablet will become unusable.Very disappointing as in all other respects the tablet seems good. It does not offer as much control or precision as a Wacom I feel, but the surface becoming so rough after such a short time means that I am regretting my purchase. I should have returned it.

A joy to use.
I like to spend a lot of time photo editing and find the using a mouse causes lots of wrist pain. This, however provides totally pain free editing experience, even with arthritic fingers...Yes I,m an old crock! Despite the fact that my pc knowledge is limited, the concise instructions for loading the drivers enabled straighforward instalation, and a little trial and error got it set up to my needs. Time will tell how reliable it will be,but so far am overjoyed.

Fantastic device with easy installation
This item is absolutely outstanding especially due to its price range. Theres a big area for me to work own on this tablet to use in Photoshop for my photography and have no problems with downloading there latest drivers on the X pen website. The pen it comes with how ever is extremely light and feels a bit cheap, the buttons on the pen feel slack but you can easily get used to it, well i have anyways, the tablet is suitable as well for both right and left handed people which is a bonus and the software has functionalities to assign different buttons both on the pen and tablet.P.S if your using photoshop i advise you keep it own for atleast 30 secounds before using for some reason the buttons on the pen stop functioning properly if you rush, apart from this i highly recommend this too beginners.

Amazing Art Tablet.
WOW...all i can say is i'm totally amazed by the quality of this XP-Pen Deco 01 v2 tablet. For the price i was paying and being my 1st art tablet, i wasn't expecting much but upon arrival i was instantly blown away.First off it looks so much cooler and more expensive than anything Wacom has to offer and at a fraction of the price. It's big too (about the size of a laptop) yet ultra thin and light yet very sturdy and doesn't seem to be made from cheap materials to keep the price down. The pen feels good in the hand although maybe a tad on the light side but i guess that's to make it feel realistic.Drivers were easily obtained from their website and easy to install...no horror stories like the reviews from Wacom's feedback. As a bonus once registered your given a free ArtRage drawing package to claim which is a nifty little program for your PC...highly recommended you try that out.Quick Shortcut keys are a godsend, but you must set them yourself to your liking via the tablets drivers/set up.Best to look at your art program and note the shortcuts on that and copy that to the buttons you which to use.Could not be any happier and enjoying using the Deco 01 v2.If your unsure about an art tablet take a punt on this one as i'm sure you will love it :)
