The recipes are awesome

I’ve lived and worked on the border with Mexico for 25 years and I enjoy Mexican food. This book provides authentic recipes that are well written and easy to follow. Although the book doesn’t have photos I don’t find this an issue. If you’re looking for a book to give you a well rounded Mexican cooking repertoire this is the one.

If you buy 1 book on Mexican cooking, buy this one! This book is a comprehensive collection of recipes that will give the reader an authentic taste of Mexican cuisine. The recipes are broken down into easy to follow steps, are delicious and will let you create your restaurant favorites at home. Highly recommend.The author includes recipes for salsa, sauces, seasonings, dry rubs, appetizers, tacos, tostados, tamales, tortillas, burritos, chimichangas, quesidillas, enchiladas, casseroles, chiluquiles, poultry, beef, pork, seafood, eggs, vegetables, beans, rice, soups and stews, sides, salads, desserts, cookies, drinks and antoles.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Great collection. Authentic flavours. If you're a cook, you find this collection a great reference an source of ideas.

I’m so disappointed! What a lousy cookbook. I purchased it knowing there were no pictures, but the recipes are horrible sounding to say the least. I wanted something that would cover recipes for the basic dishes found in a Mexican restaurant. Doesn’t have those. I’m sorry but who is looking for a recipe for “corn fungus with zucchini” or “duck in a green pumpkin seed mole”. Not for us. Hard pass on this book.

This is a print on demand book. Poorly laid out. In a disturbingly large font. Absolutely NO pictures, not one.There are a lot of recipes, although, I haven't found one that inspired me to cook, which is unusual. This is probably one of the free cookbooks I've opened, that I've felt so underwhelmed.Not worth the $$. I will be returning.

If you are a fan of Mexican food, then this book will make an excellent addition to your cooking library. It has a huge variety of recipes from sauces and salsa to all the main dishes you would expect, and several you might not be familiar with. Getting the right flavors into the food is always the biggest challenge and this cookbook provides an excellent starting place for you to work with. Overall, an excellent guide to Mexico cooking. This is my first time buying a cookbook off Amazon and I was a little surprised by the quality.The front and back covers are colourful and well presented and the inner pages not so much.No pictures, no colour, and the formatting could be better.There is nothing to complain about though as the item description doesn't say it is anything other than recipes, I shouldn't of assumed otherwise.The recipes are easy to read and are broken down into easy steps.

I bought this as a present for my partner and when it arrived I was surprised at how HUGE the book was!! There's so much in it, you won't be stuck for ideas. The only downside for us is there's no pictures - we like to know what our food is supposed to look like 😂

Not quite the mexican cookbook I expected. There are better ones out there, even in amazon.
