Q: Does this kill deer ticks?

We live in CT and both our dogs have had no issues with Lyme disease so I would be confident to say it works on deer ticks.

Q: How long does one application last

Under normal circumstances the Tevrapet Activate II for Dogs will last up to 30 days. If infestation is severe at the initiation of treatment, once a week treatment is permitted not to exceed 4 weeks. After pest control has been successful, please return to a monthly application schedule.

Q: I don’t understand what “topical” means...is it an ointment or what?.

Topical means on the skin. It is drops that are applied to dog’s back, between shoulder blades.

Q: Why does one tube have less product in it?

Because the other tube has more in it! I don't know, talk to the seller, you got ripped off.
