Picnic at Ascot Huntsman English-Style Willow Picnic Basket with Service for 4 and Coffee Set - London Plaid

I really liked the features of this product when I ordered it, however upon inspection after delivery there were a few quality-related issues. First, the wine glasses didn't have adequate protective packing, so one of the four glasses was in shards in the bottom of the box - and, of course, they are a non-standard size so I'm not sure how I'll replace. Second, the thermos wouldn't adequately seal - with either hot or cold beverage inside, with the top screwed in tightly and the "Open/Close" button clearly on "Close" - I tried multiple times to get it to seal properly, but it either is a flawed design or I got a malfunctioning one. I called Amazon customer service to ask for a replacement wine glass, there unfortunately is no way to get just one of the pieces in this bundle - although they were happy to ship me another entire basket and contents if I would just return the one I'd received. Too much hassle! I was offered a 5% discount but held out for 10% - and that was before I discovered the thermos wasn't any good. Otherwise, the quality of the materials overall is decent, though not quite what I'd expected from a relatively high price, fully configured basket (e.g. one of the four plates had a slight flaw in it, the (very small) cheese board could have used a more thorough sanding, etc.).All of that said, I like the style of the basket and layout of its contents - it is easy to put together, very convenient to carry, and has enough room inside with everything to accomodate a reasonable amount of food as well. I wish the quality was better, but it is decent enough for the price.

I have been desiring a nice picnic basket for many years. I did quite a bit of research and had finally narrowed my decision down to two baskets. They were comparable in price, and both very authentic looking. I ended up choosing this one because it had service for 4 instead of for 2 (although I know you can get it in a service for two also) and because it was to be carried upright. The other one I liked was only in service for 2 and was tipped on it's side to carry. I was ready to fall in love with this moment it arrived. All the reviews were so good, and I had been wanting one for so long. But I was thoroughly disappointed. I wanted a very sturdy basket. The handle on mine wiggles about so much that I'm afraid if I put any extra weight in the basket it will fall off. The glasses are of poor quality. They are not symmetrical and look as if one could have bought them at a dollar store, as well as the utensils. The plates are beautiful and I love the design on them, however mine all have thin line cracks in them. The napkins are very nice. The thermos drips and the mugs are not heat proof. For a basket that is so expensive I expected to get what I paid for. I did not. Perhaps my basket, glasses, utensils, and thermos were a fluke and everyone else really did receive a better set. But unless the supplier will send me another one I will have to stand by this and say don't buy it. Buy another basket. There were many other 4 service baskets for much much much cheaper than this one and I'm quite sure they are built at least as well as this one, if not better.

I just received my set yesterday. It exceeded my expectations in quality and function. OK, maybe the dishes are a bit on the smaller side and are heavy, but you can always switch them out for some nice plastic ones. It has everything in it we would need for a picnic and everything is so organized. Lot's of space for the goodies too!I have not used a picnic basket in years, started using those soft sided, insulated ones - but honestly, I hit a point now that I wantto go in style! This will do the trick. Can't wait for summer so we can enjoy the summer outings in our community in style!I would highly recommend this basket (and Manufacturer) to anyone, I believe it will hold up for years. Very classy!

My wife loves it. Very high quality. We have owned it for a few years and everything is still in great shape.

I was looking for a great two person picnic basket, but the price on this made me go for the four person. The pieces are good quality and I like the basket.

Items in the basket as well as the basket itself were of good quality. It was a mothers day gift that really worked.

With COVID-19 leaving us with few recreational options, my family and I decided to revert back to a simpler time by having picnics in the park - we've had many since. This picnic basket set was perfect for us, even when camping - it contained everything we needed to have a proper table setup (table cloth/blanket I picked up separately). Dishes, cutlery, etc. are all great quality/durable, and the basket itself is sturdy. Also included is a wood chop/charcuterie board, S/P shakers, thermos and mini cooler bag, had plenty extra room to carry additional food/drinks. Note, some of the straps to keep everything secure can be tight, so be careful when taking out the various components.All in all - worth it, especially knowing how it has become part of so many great times and memories and will continue to do so!

luxurious basket but I haven’t used it yet since I got in during the winter. Hoping it would be smaller I find this basket to be bigger than average. Looks nice and sturdy
