Danner Mens Light Timber Boot

These shoes are very good shoes, but if you have a wide foot the EE will still be a little narrow. I purchased 10.5 EE. For the price Danner needs to add just a little more leather to the wide shoes. I'm sure they will stretch as I walk in them more. This shoe is built well, and if you have a normal foot, you can't go wrong. 4 stars because a EE is still a little narrow.

I give these boots a five star rating after only having them for about six weeks, so i am trusting that the Danner quality in that they will not fall apart soon. They fit well and had almost zero wear in time. On top of that, they are extremely light, supple, waterproof and, somewhat surprisingly warm. I also like the looks of these boots which can be worn on social occasions as well as on the trail.

I decided to get these Danner boots because they closely resemble the Danner desert boots I wear in the military. I read reviews on the Danner website, as well as AMAZON and do agree that the Vibram's Gumlite sole does wear a bit fast (if worn mostly on concrete or asphalt). It's not as tough as other soles, however does make a soft and silent step. The boot does get a bit warm if you walk for a few hours or stand in them all day. The Goretex does allow your feet to breath, but sometimes when the weather gets warm, I can feel my socks getting wet after the first hour of wearing them. So the fit is a big issue for a lot of people, and I would say the Wide or EE is a regular fit in most hiking or casual boots. Your feet won't be swimming in them, unless you have extremely narrow feet. A thicker sock may just be what you need for a tighter fit. The break-in period wasn't too bad. I wore them around casually for a few weeks, and then extended my walks to a few miles a day and no feet/blister issues. I do like the fact you can dress them up for casual wear out in town, or use them as high performance hiking boot.

I suggested to Danner after returning fron deployment to make a 6 inch desert combat style boot. Well several years later they did and the boots are great ( thank you Danner) except for airthotic inserts that are provided. The first any only thing you'll replace with Danner boots. If you call Danner to ask why, they will tell you they're the best thing... They're not...Should listen to your long time customer.

Love these! Danner has always made boots that fit and work. They are a bit heavy and don't close up unless you double wrap the the laces. Great but not as good as the Radical model.

I had to return the boots because they were large for me. I bought a smaller pair (Danner Light ll though) and am very happy with them. After a few miles they start to fit really good.

I bought a half size down as recommended but could barely get my foot into boot. Beautiful well made boot that had to be exchanged for another Danner style which fit my 9.5 E foot.

I know I had read that these run small - when putting an insole in with the airthotic insoles these are too small. Returned to be replaced with a half size larger and we'll see how that fits... replacements will be my normal size... your results may vary!

I've had Danner Boots for years both at work and now in Retirement. I'm delighted with these Boots they are very comfortable and the best quality. I have wide feet so the EE fit is perfect for Me. I went a half size up this time to 11.5 but would have got away with 11. With the extra bit of room I can wear thick socks no bother. They fit that well that I didn't have to 'Break them in'. It was also cheaper to buy these Boots through Amazon (import costs?), rather than the Danner website. No criticism of Danner, If you need them the customer service are very helpful. It didn't take too long for the Boots to arrive, the packaging was excellent and gave the impression that the company really care about their product. I am delighted, Cheers All.

Good fit. Agree with other reviews regarding sizing. Go half size below your regular and wider. Very happy with the quality and fit.
