Board Review in Preventive Medicine and Public Hea Paperback – 6 July 2017

Great book. A must for in service exam.

I used this book for my Certified in Public Health (CPH) board exam and it was excellent (I aced the exam). I wanted to take the exam before graduating my MD/MPH program and it covered pretty much all the areas tested. Granted the chapter on Clinical Preventive Medicine is not a topic on the exam but it was helpful nonetheless.I noted maybe 1 or 2 errors in the book but otherwise it was like a thorough review of my MPH courses and good preparation for the exam. I would have liked to see more questions on Health Policy and Management because it's a complicated topic. Otherwise, I think this book is a MUST if you plan on taking the CPH board because there aren't too many study materials for that board.The book can be an overkill because it is for the American Board of Preventive Medicine specialty board certification but if you get through this book, you will be well prepared for the CPH exam because some of the exam questions were almost like exact copies.---I would also recommend Jekel's Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Preventive Medicine, and Public Health: With STUDENT CONSULT Online Access, 4e. This book is almost like a crash course/quick review of my MPH courses. So, I only used it for selected topics I wanted to brush-up on.
