The only reason it didn't get a 5 is our unit arrive with damage -boo! So check it before you into the install the we were but luckily it's all damage that can be hidden. Things that are important to know about this unit:1) Directions are poorly translated.2) It says you only need 4 drywall anchor screws. Uhm it weights a ton coming from one of holders in this marriage building exercises in our kitchen remodel. Do yourself a favor - put 2x4 in the joists to screw in to.3)Next this unit expects you to plug it into the ceiling. ....uh? So we used armored cabled & a square junction box in the ceiling. See pictures.4)HEAVY!5)To turn off you need to tap button twice. Lights very bright.6 ) Looks fabulous & I can still hear my husband.

Was slightly hard to install right at the end. Have to have small hands and go back up in attic & reach down through to connect the vent tubes. Otherwise it works well and looks good. The Company was very reliable when we received the hood via UPS damaged. They immediately replaced it with no questions asked. We did have to send photos of damaged part. I'd use them again!

Is very loud is the only negative so far

Was not too back to install, the directions really suck. Price was excellent, and it performs perfectly.

We love the look of this fan and if this was the only consideration it would be 5 stars for the price. We hired a contractor to install this and then at a later time an electrician to hook it up. The builder vented this outside though our soffit. It is so loud you can't carry on a conversation in any part of our open living area even on the lowest setting. Also this is poorly designed with the fan only sucking air up the left side of the appliance and even that isn't very efficient in pulling the smoke.

After installing it and turn on the electricity , the lights dont turn off. Excellent customer service from Amanzo. but TERRIBLE customer service from the manufacture. Asked me to send videos through different ways but never got back to me -I am returning it

I am a remodeling contractor with over 26 years experience. I installed this unit as part of a large remodeling project, and have very mixed feelings regarding this product. It is installed as an island hood. Roof vented. Total pipe run of aprox. 5 feet of horizontal straight pipe. 3 adjustable elbow's to create a very gradual 90 degree up turn. Aprox. 4 feet of metal flex pipe to connect the unit to the solid pipe. All 10 inch diameter.Because I had a gutted structure; I was able to frame for the unit; and used much heavier fasteners than the ones provided to hang the unit.Pro'sIt Sucks. In this case, sucking is a good thing.It looks great once modified. See con's.The price point is very good compared to buying retail from big box or specialty stores.Con'sThe instruction book is a joke. Be prepared to figure out how it assembles on your own. You get the jist of it from the book.I had 94.5 inches between the floor and ceiling. Installed using the highest pre drilled holes and notches the controls were at eye level. I'm 5'-7" tall. To meet code and be aesthetically appealing I had to cut 4 of the hanging arms to raise the unit by 4 inches. I used metal stud screws and stainless nuts, bolts and washers to replace the provided hardware, to assemble the 8 hanging arms together.The unit comes with a plug and cord. Thus, I cut the cord and installed a junction box to hard wire the unit.I had to add thick black material to the inside of the chimney where they put louvers on each side. (I used black silicone shelf liner and metal duct tape) Without the material you could look inside the chimney and see the duct pipe. Honestly, that really is the dumbest design flaw.Running on high speed, the unit is pretty loud. This was expected at this price point.Photos taken prior to arrival of the new appliances :) So... For the price it looks great. But; hire a professional or be very mechanically handy if your doing it yourself.

The instructions has errors , the pictures lack detail, but we did get it up fairly easy . Small dent on shroud . Put it through the paces , making bacon bits, deep drying , stir fry, and it worked really well. It is a beautiful unit and we have had many compliments . It works well , but is is not all that quiet

Okay so it's louder than you would imagine, but that does not take away from the look and the price point. It's build quality is excellent and easy to assemble, the instructions are good, it is meant for a handy person to assemble, if this is you first ever diy project then you would need little help, but once the base is attached to the ceiling then it's all patience. Go slow and steady to complete it. The expanding duct will need to be taped so that it does not expand more than it needs to or you can cut it (I would did not as I was not sure how to do it correctly so....😀). Took about 2-3 hours to complete with help from wife when I attached the main unit to the support. This is easily $400-$500 of savings for a similar unit from the cheapest brand, and this one has more power.

The only thing I didn't care for is down both sides where the two side of the stack meet it looks unfinished as there is a bit of a gap. I will find something to give it a finished look.The suction is good. Overall I like it.

This range is awesome, we are doing renovations and I found this on amazon and loved it right away, lights are bright and it the suction is awesome. I seen the sameOne for double the price at Home Depot. Highley recommend this one
