Q: How much propane do you go through for 3 hour fire?

Hard to answer as depends on how big of a flame you have. For the two of us sitting close, we start out with higher flame, then, as coals get hot, turn it down as it provides quite a bit of heat. We bought a 2 1/2 gallon tank and for the two of us, it lasted about 7-10 hours. Hope that helps.

Q: Is the regulator removable? My RV propane line is already regulated.

We cannot advise removal of the regulator on any of our CSA approved propane fire pits.

A standard 20 lb propane cylinder contains approximately 430,000 BTU's when full and all of the Outland Living Firebowls use 58,000 BTU's on the highest setting. This allows a full 20 lb propane tank to run for approximately 7 hours on high. In turn, approximately 61,000 BTU's will be consumed per hour from the 20 lb propane tank.
