A SENSIBLE CAPACITY, VERY STURDY, NICE SHAPE, BUT HEIGHT CARRIES A RISK; AND OFF-WHITE
Those who are pernickety about the flavour of their brewed beverages want a consistent ratio between the quantity of dry beverage and the amount of water; For example, I like to start my day with coffee made with 500ml of water and three and a half scoops. But whilst 500ml mugs are common enoiugh, this means that they are invariably overfilled, and increasing age brings increasing unsteadiness of hand on the perilous journey from kitchen to study PC. The extra 100ml of liquid space provided here helps to reduce the risk of a trail of dried coffee stains marking out this daily journey, and ensures I enjoy full measure. The only disquiet I have about these 600ml mugs, which may not apply to eveybody, is the tall, narrow shape, and associated low centre of gravity. Whilst it's aesthetically pleasing, I feel safer with my favourite vessel, a 750ml Wm Bartlett mug, 16% lower and and 33% wider than these (and with an extra 150ml of liquid space to boot, ensuring no spillage)..However, in a contrast to their elegant shape, these are thick, heavy mugs, thus counterbalancing, to some degree, the risk of overturning; one is 555g, the other 583g, so perhaps hand made. This means that you will be carrying over a kilo when the mugs are full, so watch out for that tennis elbow risk. They are called "white", but they are not white in comparison with, for example, the aforesaid favourite 758g Wm Bartlett mug; a certain paint manufacturer would probably call them "Magnolia".Only you can decide whether they are worth £9 each to you (at the time of review). If they were exactly what I wanted in a mug, I wouldn't cavill.

You’re gonna need a long teaspoon
They arrived well packaged, see photos, I dish-washed them and they survived, as the listing states. The 20 oz. capacity was confirmed with a measuring jug, see photo, showing room left holding 20 oz. of water. There are no markings what-so-ever on them, the slightly off-white finish is matte (as the listing says), although internally they appear glazed (inside bottom is reflective) to reducing staining. It was upon first use, in making myself a coffee, that the point made in the review title became apparent, my ‘normal’ teaspoon was not long enough to reach bottom to effectively stir the sweetener. If you’re not used to this size of ceramic mug, you’ll also discover that when full, they weigh quite a bit and require a different grip on the handle to control adequately. We don’t use a coffee maker, but these tall mugs might present a problem fitting in some models, as the listing shows, they measure approx. 6.3”, or 16 cm tall. Diameter is 3.7”, or 9.5 cm. The ‘empty’ weights of my mugs were 530 g and 600 g, quite a difference, although not noticeable in use, when you’ll be doubling this weight with your chosen beverage. I did notice the external bases have visibly different concave curvature but found it relatively easy to place them at an angle in my dishwasher to avoid retention of water there.I can imagine that the extra ceramic mass, compared to a plain glass, will keep cold drinks cooler longer in summer (if that ever arrives). Personally, having tried it with a cold drink, I found the added thickness of ceramic, compared to a simple glass, to be off-putting, although this is possibly something I could get used to with more practice.

Biiiiiiiiiiiig Mugs
When I ordered this pair of mugs by Showfull I knew they were big ,the description says Large, but until they actually arrived I hadn't realised how big. These are not just big mugs, they're BIG MUGS. The mugs are 6.3 inches tall by 3.7 inches wide of hugeness in an understated matt White finish on the outside, gloss on the inside and have a nice big handle, essential to get a good grip of a mug containing 20 fluid ounces of liquid. The mugs come very well-packed with shaped foam keeping them in place and ensuring that your mugs arrive intact. They're microwave and dishwasher proof and they're very chunky. The only downside to these is the weight . They're fine for me but I know older people who would struggle to safely lift one of these full of hot liquid. The mugs are ideal for people like me,2 large mugs of tea back to back isn't a big deal to me and drink 5 or 6 mugs of tea daily. These mugs have re-defined what I now call a large mug and I'm saving myself a couple of trips to the kitchen per day.A really nice pair of mugs, not cheap at £17.99 for 2 but they're a quality item. The mugs also come in different colours, Red ,a Black and White combo and Black, all slightly more expensive than the White ones, the Red ones look particularly nice.

Reassuringly expensive hefty mug that goes past 11 all the way to 20
I like a BIG cup of tea or coffee. Don’t judge, but sometimes when friends or family offer their idea of a hot beverage I feel like I should ask, “If I like the free sample, can I have a whole one?”So, the SHOWFULL large ceramic coffee mugs could have been made for me. They give “venti” size service, wet no foam, without the need for high street fake ambiance or push-button, call-yourself-a-barista attitude. And there's a handle you can get your hand in!These mugs have “heft”. When you’re using one you know you’re indulging yourself like an adult is s’posed to. There’s no longer any reason that every coffee break can’t be a perfect, take-your-time, double espresso, hot milk, hold the foam, pause to decompress for you and your co-pilot of choice. You can fit a full pint in their generous 20 floz (600ml in new money) depths. That’s actually what a pint is, by the way, as well as the reason a certain coffee chain call one of their card buckets a “venti”.Yes, they are expensive, at £17.99 the pair in white at time of review. Think of it this way - they’ll have paid for themselves in 5p card bucket eco-guilt tax fees the 181st time you and your significant other have enjoyed a lovely, home-made breakfast latte in the comfort of your own wicker conservatory sofa.
