poorly made
Was going to use it for my grandson. The cushion was made unevenly. One side was fuller and higher than the other side,

nice and comfortable
I struggled a bit with the rating for TotAha Superior Baby Nest: first impressions are very important, but this baby lounger arrived in a plain unmarked cardboard box... so my expectations weren't that high. I have tried a few baby loungers over the years and although all of them all had much nicer packaging, TotAha feels better in terms of comfort. So all things considered, I'm going with 4.5 stars and rounding to a 5.You'll have to assemble this lounger yourself: there's a matress, a bumper and a cover that you stuff said bumper and mattress into - that's it :) You can use the buckles to adjust the lounger size somewhat (or leave them open if using for a toddler). The TotAha creates a comfy and safe place for the baby to sleep - we are using it as a co-sleeper.I like that the cover is machine washable (in hindsight, I probably shouldn't have ordered white :)), and that this lounger comes with its own tote bag for storage or travel. I also received a bandana style baby bib (cotton on one side, fleece on the other) - good for when the baby is teething/drooling.I am not a huge fan of very prominent branding on both the lounger and the bib, but this does not affect functionality.I got this for our own use (and another one for Grandma's house!), and I am quite happy with it. If I was considering it as a gift, though, I would probably choose something else because of the packaging: the first impression is very important, and plain cardboard box is not very exciting to unwrap as a gift. All of the items are sort of thrown in the box and taped shut - there's no tag, no care instructions, not even a piece of paper saying what it is and how to put it together... The listing says: "A truly worry-free USA Brand for Baby Products. We can assure you that every single piece of it complies with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1 (testing for harmful substances), and features air permeability." - a picture or information about the certification would also be helpful :) Honestly, by the way it was packaged, it's hard to believe that this was made in the USA.I hope the manufacturer takes a note of that and updates the packaging with the end consumer (and, possibly, a gift recepient) in mind.

Soft spot for baby to lay, but wasn’t exactly the same as the listing
While I do like the overall clean white look of this baby nest, it was not 100% exactly the same as the listing images/description. Right away I noticed there was only one buckle (not two as advertised) and the double buckle was actually a function I was really lookin forward to. We have a similar one with only one buckle and this means when our baby kicks at the top of the bumper it starts to spread apart. So the listing images and description should definitely be updated since they highlight this feature and it was not on the actual item. The baby nest is very easy to put together. You stick the flat mattress in the bottom portion and zip it up. The long bumper then goes on the outer zippered pocket. I found the bumper much easier to install in this nest versus other ones because this one has a double zipper. Which means if one end needs to be scooted down a bit you don’t need to try and stick your hand in to restuff it. You just push the zippers to the spot you need to scoot and open it there. Much more convenient. It came with a bag you carry it in as well as a bandana style bib.I don’t like very obviously branding, and this has a giant bright red logo on it. Doesn’t affect the functionality, but something worth noting. You are able to remove the bumper and mattress (and are just left with the outer fabric shell) so you can just throw the shell in the wash when it needs to be cleaned. The bumper and flat mattress piece can be washed as well. This isn’t waterproof, so keep in mind if your baby leaks/spits up and it soaks through the cover you will end up needing to wash each piece.Overall nice to have for baby to lounge in.

Wonderful pet beds
Honestly, these baby beds make much better pet beds than beds marketed as pet beds. Not only are these easier to clean, but they are larger and can fit two kitties easily. They're also SO much more well made than typical pet beds. The cover is sturdy cotton muslin that almost feels as thick as some types of canvas. I love that it's not flimsy, thin polyester that rips or pills within the first few uses. I also love the handles sewn all over this bed. If used for a baby, these allow you to easily maneuver the bed or pick it up without disturbing your child. The whole thing is very well padded and wonderfully squishy for comfort.Another way to use this is for extra cushioning/support in a chair. I actually used this (before letting the cats claim it) while sitting in a recliner to see how the flat pad did for a little extra back support. While the flat pad did add a little extra lumbar support and cushioning, I found that even with the bolster this can improve the comfort of a chair. Keep the bottom unbuckled and place this upright on the chair back so that your head rests against the top of the bolster. The sides act like bumpers to cradle your back and sides, and the top is like a pillow. I don't like the uncomfortable seats in my husband's truck, so I though "why not?" and used this bed to sit against in the passenger seat. My hubby thought I was nuts, but let me tell you how much more comfortable that two hour drive was thanks to this 'bed'. What. A. Difference. It didn't solve all the pain and stiffness that comes from sitting that long with a horrible back in a torture device of a seat, but I wasn't in the same amount of agony I usually am after riding that long in his truck. I've purchased specially designed back supports that did little to nothing to help my back pain when traveling for long periods, and along comes this baby nap bed (which isn't even meant for this kind of use) and it did a better job. The cats might be using it right now while they snooze, but I fully plan on stealing it back for the next road trip. The only downside is the bolster section. it doesn't have an additional slip cover like the bottom pad does, and if it gets dirty and needs to be washed, the outer covering isn't really strong enough to hold up going through the washer and dryer. Not to mention the stuffing will end up lumpy. Should the bolster become dirty (baby vomit, cat vomit, spilled formula, etc.), it can be replaced with a little ingenuity. You could use a pool noodle cut to size, or take a pair of nylons and stuff the legs with stuffing or shredded memory foam, or buy a piece of round (tube) memory foam. Since the zipper goes all the way around the bolster, it's really easy to find a solution. Same with the bottom pad. While it does come with a separate slip cover, this isn't waterproof. If you need to replace the pad, all you need to do is buy a piece of memory foam at a local craft store and cut it to shape.
