These are good for outdoor work in windy conditions , just pull the trigger and it lights my last one was over twenty years old ,just good quality.

I used to get this product from Worthington. They were bought out and I could not find this torch. I do a lot of heat shrinking on self regulating heat cables and the old one from Worthington worked great but was not that durable. I was okay with that because they were not that expensive. With the new one from Sievert (I also purchased the alternative torch nozzle), it will not easily light with the piezo trigger. Since I paid more than twice as much and it doesn't work, I am really disappointed. I expected better from Sievert. When you actually get it lit, it works well.

I am a DIY'er. I use this for various jobs around the house and am very happy with purchase! I use it to sweat pipes, loosen nuts and bolts, clean tools, solder, start campfires etc.. Very easy to use and additional tips a plus. I've owned the other brands over the years and this is by far, the best!

I like this a lot better than the analogous orange-big-box-store torch. It works the same, so definitely get the big-box version if you want to save money. This is just "nicer" to use and feels like a premium product. I appreciate that there is a choice of tips for it, too. Once concern is all the plastic that might melt if you use this continuously for a long time, but I did not run into anything like this so far.

I purchased 3 PowerJet units...and multiple burners. These units did work out of the box. Unfortunately, the burners are of poor quality. Unlike the Promatic series, these burners use a plastic locking mechanism as opposed to a brass mechanism. All of the burners I purchased cracked through the locking mechanism so they no longer lock properly and align with the igniter. Eventually the entire plastic igniter mechanism broke off. Within a month of service none of these units were functional.I contacted customer support, they responded roughly 1 month later indicating that someone would be contacting me...I never received a call back or email.They probably work well in non industrial applications...infrequent use, but they are certainly not meant for daily usage.
