Works well for 3 uses then struggles to open cans.
This another one of those amazon "bargains." It seems to work at first, but then either stops working or you really begin noticing all its faults and warts after the return window closes. This thing worked great on the first 3 cans I tested it on. I used Eneloop AA batteries. Fourth time nope, got stuck. Figured it was just because rechargeable batteries are 1.2 volts, so I used alkaline AA batteries. The thing still struggles and goes much slower now than the initial times I used it. And on a large can of beans it fails to complete and get stuck about 7/8 of the way so I have to bend the lid open. Very annoying. I recommend getting a regular plugin can opener and save yourself the aggravation. In the past year I've bought at Amazon a garage light that i have to flip on and off to get to turn on, circulation cutting compression socks, relax fit cargo pants that pull down when I walk, non-hair plucking tweezers, a sliding-knee brace that is cut way too short, material saving back belts that burst open, non-feeding weed wacker line and t-shirts of varying size, from the same pack and differing brands even though they are all XL. This is just another one of those cheap china-made disappointments. Amazon has flooded their marketplace with china-made junk and in the process has somehow even managed to ruin e*b*a*y as well as a ton of stuff is drop shipped from amazon. In the end I guess I only have myself to blame as I just hate returning stuff and just eat the loss. Case in point, I ordered a 70 cm stability ball and received a 90cm ball (huge), a 45cm ball (tiny), and finally a 70cm ball. In total I paid about 80 bucks for a stability ball.Personally, I recommend you buy in store or ask someone to buy it for you if you are unable. Otherwise buy a corded model and stick with name-brands that, while slightly more, are far less likely to disappoint. I recommend this advice for everything on amazon as it has become the harbor freight of everything.

Junk! Dangerous! No off switch and lid gets stuck in the unit! Don't buy.
Darn, I missed the return window by a few days! Piece of junk. Put in battery. Cut the can open while you hold on to it, but not OFF Switch! Had to take the back portion out to release the battery to stop it. Then the lid got stuck on the unit. Can't get the lid off!! If I didn't use napkin or towel, the lid can CUT my hand! Will have to try pliers next. Tried many times to pull the lid back out. Stuck! How can you sell this faulty unit? Didn't you test it first? With no warning? Waste of money and time.

I threw it in the trash
I'm disabled and purchase everything from Amazon since I no longer drive. I needed a new can opener so I decided to buy this one. I was really excited to try it. I read all the instructions. I used it on a can of garbanzo beans. It took at least ten minutes to get it to grip and start to turn. It opened the can but it wouldn't release the lid, and the motor kept turning. I took out the batteries, the instructions said to do that in case this happened. The motor stopped, but the lid still wouldn't release. After another ten minutes or more of trying to get the lid off, I threw the whole thing in the trash.

Complete waste of money...
The first time I used it, it wouldn't stop once the can was opened. Not only couldn't I get it to stop until I removed the batteries, but it wouldn't release the lid. Pryed as hard as I could and just could not get it to release. Returned it with the lid still attached!

A PIECE OF JUNK
I AM SO TIRED OF BUYING THINGS THAT TURN OUT TO BE JUNK. EVERYTHING THAT THE OTHER BAD REVIEWS SAID WAS TRUE. THE ONLY THING I WOULD LIKE TO ADD IS IT IS VERY CHEESEY. IT VIBRATES WHEN IN USE AND THE DIRECTIONS WERE HARD TO UNDERSTAND. AT LEASTFOR ME.

NOT easy to use.
Not good for arthritis sufferers. Battery space access requires strong hands. Not easy to operate, I couldn't get it to work. Leaves can with very sharp edge. I do not recommend this, or similar items, to fellow arthritis sufferers.

Worst Electric Safety Can Opener I've ever used
Don't usually leave a rating but this product was so bad I had to. The can opener attached to the cans and opened them. But they never released. To remove the top I had to ply it off. I'll never buy a can opener that doesn't have a release mechanism.

Disappointing
I had an older opener similar to this one. Bought this when mine broke. This model is difficult to use and works poorly when it works at all.
