great kite

I've been flying kites since I was on the rooftop of my aunt's house as a little boy visiting India. I'd always been relegated to the cheaper kites you find at stores at the beach and places like that. My wife bought me this kite because she knows I love outer space and she read that it was easy to fly. She was absolutely right (as she tends to be)! She got me a separate reel so that I can fly it higher than the reel it comes with, but the kite was easy and intuitive to put together (I was able to do so without the instructions) and took to the skies in an instant. It caught the wind and could've stayed up there forever had we decided to never leave Asbury Park. I think this is a great kite that flies easy. It's good for novices and beautiful enough that it turns heads when in flight. It's a little more expensive than I would've liked to spend on a kite, but after only one flight, I don't regret my wife getting me such an amazing present.

Loved that it was just as pictured. It was simple to put together and held up well after hours of use in quite windy weather. It would be cool on a newer version to be able to maneuver it while flying it.

I got more flight time out of this one. It lasted 3 days of some pretty rigorous wind before the braces wore through the pockets. The 3 wings help balance the punishment it takes. I would cut the streamers in half as that get tangled too much. But, I had some fun with it and it turned some heads. If it cost more and I knew the pockets were more sturdy, it might be worth it. The need to boost up the pockets that hold the braces for sure.

...excellent flyer and very stable, and takes amazingly very little wind...a little tricky to assemble, so you have to be smarter than the instructions, but be gentle and don't frustrate
