This Is Absolutely The BEST Light I've Ever Used For Machinery!!!
I purchased a few of these lights to put on machinery in my shop; lathe, milling machine, bandsaw, etc. The lamps do NOT come with plugs on the cords, but that was fine for my application as I just wired them to the control panel.I like these lamps because the gooseneck is sturdy enough to stay in the position you put it in. It doesn't sag with vibration. The gooseneck is long enough to position away from knobs & levers on the various machines I use them on. I've got a couple of machines that have two lights, they're lit up like an operating table!Since my initial purchase, I now have EIGHT of these lights--so far...

Used on cross slide of lathe and works great for my purpose (tired old eyes).

Nice lamp for my bench grinder
This is a nice gooseneck lamp. The shade is larger than I thought it would be, but it's fine. I installed this on my bench grinder. I wired it in parallel to the grinder switch so it can be controlled whether the grinder is on or off. I also added a Cree R20, 100 watt equivalent, LED daylight flood which provides plenty of light. I am totally satisfied. However, for some reason, there was a big jump in price after I bought it. I should a got a second one for my bandsaw. Oh well.Update: The price dropped back to what it was when I originally purchased this item. Now it's December 2022 and I just purchased another for my bandsaw. It pays to wait.

Broken when arrived, otherwise ok
Firstly, the light was damaged and broken when I received it. I’m guessing it was packaged poorly and got crushed somehow. I was in a hurry, restoring an old tool, and didn’t want to deal with sending it back. As a result, I had to create my own switch and sort of mold it back into shape. I also painted it.It’s a good light—very thin metal and easily damaged, but it works and it looks good. The neck is very long and flexible, the socket is solid.

Sized for A19 bulb, industrial sewing-machine use
I've bought two of these over the past year. They're the same fixture that came with a couple industrial sewing-machines I have ("K" frame tables). If you use a A19 shape bulb (40 or 60w-equiv depending on the amount of light you want), the end of the bulb will be recessed about 1/2" inside the shade. (The reason I mention this is that there are versions of this same lamp but slightly smaller shade. An A19 will extend a little past the front, more glaring. They're made for smaller A15 bulbs. The smaller shade might be preferable for a smaller sewing machine. It's good to know there are two sizes of this fixture. This one's the larger, industrial size.).

Quality and at a realistic price.
I have been searching for lights like this for years and finally came across these. They are very heavy duty on the flex neck and stay where you put them. I have mine setup over my metal lathe and plan to buy several more for other pieces of equipment that I have that need lighting. Once I get done with them I plan to buy a few extra's and hold them back for future projects that will need them.
