Ames WalkerAW Style 140 Coolmax 20-30 mmHg Compression Anklet Socks Black Small

I continuously walk 5 hours a day at my job and have bruised my heels in the past and have sprained both my ankles from sports injuries as well about 10 years ago- all still give me issues today from time to time. During those times I feel like I need some support over my entire ankle/heel/Achilles area and have tried the compression socks for diabetics which absolutely have NO support or compression AT ALL!- especially the support I was looking for. I wanted the fit of a fitted ace bandage that slides over the ankle but completed by an entire sock so I just was wearing one thing over my foot. These socks do exactly all that I was looking for and I LOVE the compression that I get from these- absolutely amazing and not too much at all. I can wear them just fine 5 hours of walking without any notice of them being to constricting and only the notice of my feel absolutely not hurting at all! Such a great price, cannot find these in stores and not at this price. I even roll down the tops of these socks to make them shorter and give more compression to my heel/ankle area from time to time depending on my need. I honestly don't feel a sock could be much firmer than this (20-30mmHg), without causing discomfort after a certain period of time. I recommend these to anybody looking for something like I was and who has tried the compression diabetic socks and agrees that they offer no compression whatsoever!

I've only had these a week. I'm new to the compression sock arena. I've tried several other socks with different results. First off, they are a pain to put on. I wear a size 12 EE shoe. Being cheap, I've tried several socks from Amazon that were at the lower price range. All of them claimed to be extra large and were supposed to fit size 12. My biggest problem with them was the heal never reached MY heal, then they were all at least calf or knee high, but would NEVER fit much higher than just above my ankle. Yes, they would help my feet from swelling but cut into my leg. I've warn these for 2 days while working. they are so much easier to put on, stretched all the way to my heel, feet felt great! I'm probably eventually going to get a dozen more. couple at a time... I need to be wearing compression sock all the time, but the hassle of trying to get all the fabric for a calf high sock on (especially when it wouldn't fit over my calf) has kept me from doing so. these are SOOOOO much easier to get on, I Want to wear them every day.

Recently plagued with swollen ankles, I started wearing knee high compression socks while I wait for a diagnosis and treatment. Of course, for me, knee high is just not going to cut it when I am wearing shorts. So, I tried one pair of these, wearing with tennis shoes [and for playing tennis as well]. Wow! These actually perform better than the fancier knee high socks, seeming to keep the swelling down all day. Ordered three more pair; just wish I could get them in black, as I would set aside the knee high socks in favor of these. Listed as 20-30 compression, that's what they seem to be. I wear a 9-9 1/2 shoe and bought medium; they fit perfectly, and are much easier to get on than the knee high compression socks. Worked just fine as a tennis sock replacement; may even stay with these when I solve my swollen ankle issue.

I ordered this pair of socks in size medium which fit well.They were stretchy, tight, snug, and felt very comfortable. They came just above my ankles as shown in the picture. I did not wear them with shoes, but they are rather thick and will stretch out your shoes or just wear them with a larger shoe.When my feet were swollen, they did leave a band mark at the top of my ankles, but I need a larger size.I washed them without bleach and dried them on low heat with no shrinkage.I can tell that they will withstand several washings and last a great while.I will order a size large today. Entire order including shipping for one pair was about $13.00.

My mother in law gave me a pair of socks that I wore after a repeated ankle injury. I wore them to pieces and spent a lot of money trying to find another pair just like them; she did not remember where she got the pair she gave me.I finally found these. I use them as ankle support while I am walking. The compression is strong and supportive, yet it is comfortable on the feet. I only wear these on walks as they can get too restrictive if not moving one's legs.I just wish these great socks came in the colour black. I think the white socks with black shoes look leaves much to be desired. ;P

The socks are a tad too long for my feet and very thick. They have a very tight band at the top. However, they are comfortable to wear and my feet and legs do not have the severe pains that I had previously. It is also great for the warm weather as I can wear short pants since I do not have to wear the knee high compression stockings with these anklet socks.

These are very good for the compression in the foot area. However, if my foot is swollen, so is my ankle and these were very tight at the top band and caused discomfort. If the top had a bit more give and didn't cut into my puffy ankle, I would rate these higher. With all of the compression of the overall sock, I feel the band could be a bit looser. The band also makes them harder to get on.

Great socks! I wore these while on a flight to (and while walking around) Europe. Very comfy yet they helped with circulation. Though it says "Coolmax" in the name I wouldn't say these do that to a huge extent - but it's no worse than any of my other socks. Plus the price is way more reasonable than other brands!
