Save yourself from wasting your money and don't buy this garbage. I was contemplating getting the Ring doorbell but the price put me off. I thought I'd get a cheaper one on Amazon and came across this, the reviews were mixed but I took a gamble and most definitely lost. The only one good thing I can say about it its that the picture quality both day and night is very good - but that's it. The other day I had a delivery and by chance saw the guy just walk up to my front door, I received a notification that someone was ringing my doorbell 8 HOURS LATER !!!! Every single notification I get that the doorbell has been rung are literally hours delayed, I know this because whenever I press the button to talk to the person the app says that it's not possible as the event already happened and I was too late. I always go through my video history for that day and that's how I discover just how long the delay is. It's just awful, it'll give you the odd notification even though just by scrolling through video history literally at least 50 people or motions caused it to record. I'm not going to be cruel enough to try to sell it on Ebay so I'm chucking it in the bin - it's so bad if it wasn't for the fact I spent a considerable amount of money on purchasing it I'd be laughing . DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

I read the reviews and was worried, but it was an absolute doddle to install. To pair the bell it has to be plugged into a USB socket. But simply press the button on the bell and press the door bell.The image is very clear, BUT it’s a big BUT, the image is WIDE but not TALL. So if someone were to leave a parcel at their feet I wouldn’t know as I can’t see their feet.Motion detector is slow to react so it simply records the back of someone’s head as they leave. Obviously records their face if they stand looking at the door.Sound is fine so I can tell people I’ve just got out of the shower and can they leave the parcel when I’m at work!! 😉For cheap and cheerful and not having to pay monthly “it’s fine.” If you are a real techie you will be disappointed. I am sure I will hard wire it to stop there being battery issues.I have Google nest and it is connected to the internet no problem at all. Not bad for the price and it does what I need it to do.

Instructions are in a small print so had a bit of difficulty reading them. Initial set up quite easy. The signal strength is poor, my router is exactly 8ft from the front door and the doorbell camera keeps losing signal, so have bought a WiFi booster to see if it helps. Camera quality is very good night and day, there is about a 3 second delay though with the camera relay. I've used the self adhesive strips on the pvc doorframe of the front door for now, til I find a more suitable place to use the drill fixings, it's holding really well. So far, with 3 days usage, I can't really complain, seems good so far.Update: 14/12/21 battery life seriously dropped, charging every fortnight now. Ever since it done an update, it doesn't pick up anything as soon as it starts to get dark, only when someone rings the bell and activates it. Tried getting in touch with the manufacturer through the apps messaging service, no reply after a month! I've tried reinstalling configuring camera and app many times, trouble shooting, no improvement at all

I must begin with, I'm a dinosaur when it comes to tech but this was so straightforward I couldn't get it wrong if I tried. The night vision is fantastic I could see the insects flying about. The main reason for buying this was because I had a garden roller which had sat outside my front door for 7 years stolen. This roller was so heavy it was towed here, so I looked to find a camera that had everything Ring had but was easier to install and cheaper in case I couldn't install it myself and it was too late to return. Setting up was easy - someone tells you what to do. Functions are the same as Ring but it's cheaper. Motion was brilliant I could see the insects around at night. A GREAT RESULT. Thank you

What can I say, I read all the reviews and being a 68 year old woman was hesitant about getting a cheaper version...I shouldnt have doubted, I assembled it because it ws so easy to do...the picture quality is perfect..been wanting one for ages have een asked twice today by delivery drivers were I purchased it, looks good, looks so much more expensive than it is, if I could give it 20 stars I would, I am so pleased I took the plunge and bought it, really cant recommend it enough, well done to the maker, you have made a woman my age feel quite tech savvy.

Really impressed with this little gadget. The picture is clear and sharp, the bracket holds it in place nicely, the chime is a nice touch and very helpful too. Had no issues configuring it either.UpdateSept 11 I got a notification that the battery is on 20%. It has only been charged when we first got it at the start of july. Over two months and it still had 20% left!Saw one of the reviews saying they managed to charge it through the letterbox and I did the same. Didn't take long either.

The doorbell video camera provides a good wide angle view of the drive. The app you use on your smartphone has numerous features where you can tailor parameters to suit you. E.g. recording any movements during darkness and sensitivity adjustment to avoid false recordings. The included sd card provides plenty of historic recording space but you can store this video if you wish on your phone or cloud. The unit itself looks of high quality construction. The range from doorbell to the remote chime unit seems good. We have our chime unit in the kitchen as we couldn’t hear anyone when they knocked the door. I am very pleased with this purchase so far.
