When extended to the maximum, and hooked around a toy and stroller, how long are these?

If you only use one of them, they aren't that long. If you attach both together, they are much longer. I normally use one to attach to the toy and the other to attach to the stroller, and then attach the two together :). These things have saved many sippy cups, snack containers, toys, and even hats from the kids who love to throw things lol

Does it only work with toys that have loops or handles? What about toys like Sophie?

I have made it work with Sophie! If you use the shorter loop (one end has the buttons closer together) and loop between her back two legs and up towards her neck, it works great. A determined toddler would be able to pull it loose, but it's so snug that it won't come off easily!

How long are the straps

You can actually adjust to a variety of lengths/thicker parts of a stroller or chair. If you use up more length to go around you can still secure a toy, strap will just be shorter.
