What keeps the locking pin from falling out due to vibration?

It’s a ball and pin style you push the top of the pin on the top it releases the ball on the bottom to slip out they are very difficult to put the whole clamp together compared to vibrant fittings but for the cost not bad

Do these allow some flex like the competition?

They have in and out flex but zero side to side your piping has to be as close to dead on for these to fit properly

Is it possible to get replacement o rings for the intercooler clamps?

I couldn’t find any. So I bought another clamp so that I would have spares. That sounds crappy, but also, I’m yet to need any spares after more than a year of use. My originals don’t leak at 40 PSI - so personally, I wouldn’t worry about it.

Clean the aluminum coating off before you weld

Welds like a dream after cleaning coating. We’ve seen them hold 40psi of boost on a Ls engine. So they work

Doesn’t leak under boost!

I went with this 4” o-ring/v-band quick release over the other brands because it was about a 1/4 of the price. That being said, the coupler does spin freely, which scared me at first because I thought it would leak under boost pressure. However, it proved me wrong and the o-rings and seal ring work really well. I will really test this when I turn the boost up to 15-18 lbs!! Also this welded onto my throttle body very nicely. Quality material for sure!!

These parts did not fit 4" pipe.

I bought three seats of these clamps and they do not fit 4" pipe. Took a lot of time to make them work. I will not buy these again without a resolution.
